Re: World Soccer XXIV: The Road to Rio

So not only does USA get Germany, Portugal, Ghana, they also get the worst travel and a game in Manaus. I'm not sure the draw could have gone much worse for the United States.

Re: World Soccer XXIV: The Road to Rio

Yes, bad luck is proof that FIFA hates us.

Lighten up, Francis. Complaining about FIFA is something that should unite the world, regardless of its veracity because 90% of the time it's true. 10% of the time it's just fun.

Re: World Soccer XXIV: The Road to Rio

We're not winning in Brazil! We're not winning in Brazil! We're not winning! We're not winning! We're not winning in Brazil!

Re: World Soccer XXIV: The Road to Rio

I think we do. They have to exercise the demon that is Ghana with a W in the 1st game. Anything can happen then.

Re: World Soccer XXIV: The Road to Rio

Taking 2022 away to the Arabs says hi. You just don't get it. FIFA has a grudge against us because we don't worship at the altar of bribes.
"Taking 2022 away" implies that we had some right to 2022. We didn't.

But, yeah, this blows.

who does the US get in Manaus? maybe the climate will be to our advantage? remember, our players are accustomed to playing in varied climates from snowy mountains to 90 degrees in the tropics. european sides aren't.
