Mexico would have to play games in somewhere other than the US at some point for their coming here to be noteworthy.

The mystery of who tossed a banana onto the field during Sunday's friendly meeting between Brazil and Scotland has been solved, with confirmation that the object was thrown by a German tourist with no racist intent...
It read: "After consultation with the Metropolitan Police, Arsenal Football Club can confirm that a German teenage tourist has admitted throwing a banana onto the pitch during the Brazil v Scotland International Friendly at Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

"The youngster was sitting in the North Bank of Emirates Stadium, an area of the stadium which was occupied by the official allocation of tickets to Brazil supporters, when he threw the banana onto the pitch during the second half of the match.

"The Metropolitan Police is satisfied there was no racist intent and have confirmed that no further action will be taken."

WeWant is still mad that Balotelli is working out like all other City signings. :D

It's been that way since the 70s. Al-Citeh say they have made the signing that wins them the league only to watch him go down in flames and fail epically. The only great signing was Tevez and that's because he was a United man. :D (see the Trevor Kidd rule)

I love how I pay $111 a month for premium cable yet I can't watch the USA-Paraguay match in HD because we only have FSC in standard definition. How I ever watched television before HD, I have no idea.

That sucks.

I like the way the U.S. has played. I really feel like the goal against came against the run of play (especially where there were two U.S. players on the ground).

Chandler, Agudelo, Dempsey, Ream and Lichaj had good games. I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a Chandler-Onyewu-Ream-Boca/Cherundolo back end. Donovan didn't look very crisp on his crosses and I think the very physical play of the Paraguayans killed Agudelo and Altidore up top.

Altidore is a big dude, he needs to be able to handle that.

Not when there's dangerous tackles by the Paraguayans and the ref doesn't even give them warnings.

On the goal by the way, the wet field hurt DeMerit as he fell leaving him out of position. That wouldn't have been a problem had Ream not been thrown down by an attacking player.

Their goal was pretty lucky I suppose, but still the US didn't create nearly enough for my liking, particularly in the first half.

I agree, I think Dempsey and Agudelo were the only ones trying the middle of the field in the first half. They both opened up a lot of space there.

Wonder if Al-Citeh will sign him and say "This will be the signing that will win City the Premiership!" ? :D

Siena is building a brand new, amphitheater-style 20k stadium south of the city on what passes for an Italian "interstate" (read: Montana cowpath).

As much as I am a proponent of AC Siena, something tells me this has more to do with cement contracts than corner kicks.
