Wisniewski out at Ohio State

Some actual news here: the 2026-27 roster page is now up, and Wisniewski is NOT listed on it.

(The OSU Ministry of Truth has not delisted him from the 2025-26 roster page ... yet.)

(But still no job listing for the open position of the University's "Careers" page, though they did post one for assistance softball coach yesterday.)
Maybe they are just going to shorten the bench of coaches this season?

Edit: Maybe they got rid of him so the could increase Muzzy's pay?

Jack Johnson, eh? This can only mean that when the other fist lands, they'll be hiring a Tom O'Leary as a video coordinator.

Got this inside scoop from my bud Ron Burgundy. IYKYK.

Wonder if Jack Johnson’s parents will steal this salary too
I am sure he is not the only player who's parents/advisor have not acted in their best interests.

It is interesting that OSU is developing a pattern of assistant coaches that have NHL playing experience even if they only stick around a couple of years.

How do they hire a new assistant coach without having done a national search or even posting an opening anywhere? I thought it was a requirement that all jobs had to get posted for at least ten days somewhere, but this job was never announced anywhere according to what I have been reading here.
It was out there but not at the normal places.

Zip Recruiter

Most likely because it was a done deal but had to go through the motions. It looked like it was posted on July 3rd and pulled around the 11th.

That post makes reference to "Ohio State University's career site". That is where I had been looking. I first looked there on July 12; maybe the opening had been posted there prior to that, but was already pulled down by July 12. I don't see anything on the zip-recruiter page that indicates dates posted, etc.

Maybe Wisnieski's lack of a "Bachelor's Level Degree with a Major in education or physical education" caught up with him.

Why hasn't BuckyB replied to tell us all the details of the missing information here?! He's a typical know-it-all man who thinks he has all the answers and yet we haven't heard a thing from him about the missing pieces of this puzzle. What a pos, I mean, poser!

Aaron Portzline of The Athletic tweeted that Wisniewski wanted to be closer to family. I'd interpret that as he doesn't like the hours of being a college coach. A lot of people don't.

I also know that Wisniewski has been involved in this golf tour for ex-professional athletes that John Smoltz started.

He left to return to California and be with family while pursuing his love of golf.
You’re welcome and had you paid attention it was told to you a couple of months ago.

June 11 isn't "a couple months ago", and you gave no reason or explanation as to HOW you supposedly knew, or why we should believe you.

BuckyB is a reliable source and a reliable source never gives up where he gets his information.
"Electrify" in a curious and interesting user; I noticed the account a couple weeks ago.

It was created April 9, 2026, and if I counted correctly, the "acitivity" the web site shows for the account consists of two comments, and 16 'reactions' to other peoples' posts. Just above is the second of the two comments posted; the other was a joke made in the PWHL draft comment thread. One 'reaction' was to something Tim said in that PWHL draft thread, and one something ZedLepellin said, again in the PWHL draft thread. And the other 14 were 'likes' of posts that BuckyB has made.

That is, 18 bits of 'activity', and 15 of them specifically in 'support' of BuckyB.

I can't tell if it's a BuckyB sock puppet, or not, It's not like the 'likes' come five minutes after Bucky makes the original post, so if it is a sock puppet, it's a very 'patient' one. But still, 15 of 18 ...

That's a lot of research! If it will make you feel better, I will like some of your posts as well. Kind of a participation trophy, if you will.

That isn't much research at all. But you do you...
