Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2026-27

I'm sure the AD will announce tomorrow that the revenue from this boondoggle will be devoted solely to upgrading the scoreboard at LaBahn Arena because they are laser-focused on improving the fan experience at women's (actual) home games.

My recollection of the game at Wrigley, and I am certain about the outdoor game at Camp Randall 12 years ago or so, the women's component of the events didn't generate much, if any, revenue. Assume revenue is generated at all, the women are not likely to get any.

Right now, the UW schedule page shows the Saturday game at Lambeau as the ONLY UW-OSU game of the weekend. I assume that is not correct. LOL

The Ohio State schedule page says there will be a Friday game. I was wondering whether it would be Sunday, or Friday, or maybe even Thursday.

If the OSU page is correct, that means the last game of the regular season - potentially deciding the conference championship - gets played outdoors, maybe on crappy ice in lousy weather. YAY! And we'll all get to pay a bunch of extra $$ to sit a mile from the ice.

It will be over before that weekend. 😁

We won't be there, there is no way Maddy will be able to navigate from parking probably far away up those steeper steps wearing 8 layers of clothes in potentially slippery conditions. That would not be responsible parenting on my part.

Last Christmas, my niece's husband got me a battery driven "heated vest", with a USB rechargeable battery pack. He knows it can get cold at Camp Randall during November football games. The instructions say I should check and recharge the battery regularly, so coincidentally, my phone reminded me to do so just yesterday. I have not used it "in the wild" yet, but if I decide to go to hockey in February, It will certainly be used.

I guess I'm waiting to see what the prices are, and what the distances from the ice surface are.

(As far as Lambeau being a "bucket list item", etc: there have been Packer season tickets in my extended family since I was two or three years old. I've been to Lambeau literally a hundred times, through all the expansions. Yes, my dad was at the Ice Bowl - though I don't know or remember who was with him; not me. One of my earlier, clear memories was the 1961 championship game. I was just five years old. My dad, mom, and two older brothers got to go to the game, while I had to stay home with my grandmother and two sisters. And I was PISSED OFF! LOL)

In addition to awaiting the verdict on Enright's status via the continuation or deletion of her photo on the Badger's web page, I am perplexed by th absence of any photos of this season's newcomers. Don't they have access to a phtographer?

There are posts from "media day" yesterday, where photos were taken. On the team's instagram page, tik-tok page, etc. I expect the resultant photos for the freshmen will go up at any time now. Maybe the "inside info" guys can tell us the schedule for that. LOL
 
The pictures of the freshman will be posted as soon as the snails in website production get around to it.
Same for the Enright deletion. Seems the team is definitely aware as she was NOT on the ice today for the first day with the coaches. But wait…. Maybe she will only be with the team half the time and work for Stryker the other half. 😂😂😂😂

If the AD insists on going along with these boondoggles, they should call them exhibition games - which is what they are - and not have them count in any kind of standings. The only way to salvage anything is to be so far ahead of TWSNBN at that point so that the so-called game will be largely meaningless and the starters can sit in the stands and freeze with everyone else.

How dare you share information that you know and no one else knows! Please cite your sources and include their full legal names, addresses, phone numbers, social security numbers and blood types. I would like a full report with no less than 3,000 characters in order to verify the legitimacy of your claims!

No interest in any outdoor games.

Went to the first men's game at Lambeau and it was nice to add that to all the stuff I saw that year - season tix, Regionals and Frozen Four - but was a novelty at best. Felt like the game was happening "over there" while I was sitting far away.

Have skipped all outdoor games since.

What I'm looking for is when single game tix will go on sale. Called the ticket office and the kid said he didn't know exactly but should be mid-September.

What is so hard or 'objectionable' about saying how you've come to know something you claim to know? Seriously. Why NOT simply say how you have come to know it?

I really would appreciate some attempt at an actual answer to such a simple question.

They had media day. Waiting on Fotomat to develop the film.

Simple answer to the simple question.
Knowledge is based on experience and relationships cultivated over time.
Information gathered from these two sources is trusted and held in the highest regard in the hockey community.
Sharing such information with the people that read this forum should be considered by them as fortunate and not ridiculed and torn apart.
You are simply provided with 100 percent accurate information at the time said information is posted.

That doesn't remotely come close to answering my question.

How would any of that be affected going forward if you were to specify, identify, name, describe how you came to know something you claim to know?
