I scanned through too quick and missed her. You were too quick before I deleted it.
I noticed that when I looked them up while they were juniors at Chicago Mission. Never have been able to find anything to clarify it. Their bios list the same parents as Kelly, so I assume one of them is adopted. They both seem happy and have had great suggest which speaks volumes for whatever the situation is.I just saw on FB
i watched this and then saw it was Nicole G birthday the other day but not Rachel… so I looked and saw they are born 5 months apart! This entire time I thought they were twins

Yes! I would assume Nicole is adopted as Rachel looks pretty identical to Kelly… Nicole could also be adopted from another family member or friend, who could not raise the child the child (high probability just bc she was in the same age as Rachel and they already had 2 other kids at that time). They did go on to have another child Kendra that also looks pretty identical to Rachel. I am sure if they play more they will be interviewed one day and that question will come up “so are you fraternal twins?”
She will not be back… took a real job and is moving on.
If they are twins, that would mean one was born extremely early or late. And Mrs. Gorbatnko had a period of time between the deliveries that must be a record for maintaining the in-utero viability of a twin. I actually did a web search for any instances of twins being delivered months apart and did not find anything. I would think someone has asked about it at some point over the last 18-19 years.
This is a general reply that covers my thoughts for the coming season. I have been absent from this forum for several years and have been unable to find a way to do a simple post on this new system despite several appeals via the HELP button. Ergo, to begin.
I acknowledge that it will be difficult to replace the departing players - especially Harvey, Edwards, Eden, Simms, and Jungels. But replacing players is an annua ritual for fans and Johnson who typically handles the task of maintaining a solid team exceptionally well. I personally think this season's team will continue the tradition he has established. With that as an intro, I'll start my comments with my assessment of the returning players.
I think Kelly Gorbatenko, Hall, and Sapovalivova would make a solid first line. They are a source of consistent pressure opponents cannot relax against. Scannell, McCarthy, and Halverson had their moments last season, but were inconsistent. But I anticipate an increase in their production. I have heard that Pieckenhagen is incredibly strong, and she had solid moments last season. I think she increasingly will become a significant contributor as this season progresses. As for Enright showed potential her first season before a major knee injury hampered her progress. But she demonstrated aggressive, solid play by the end of last year and I expect she will see quality playing time.
I find Sapovalivova especially intriguing because her size and aggressiveness remined me of O'Brien, and she started to assert herself more with a similar style of play in the second half of the season. I think she may have a banner season. I also am curious to see if she is moved to a line with Lopusanova since that they may be familiar with each other and their styles of play given the proximity of their native countries.
As for the defense, I think the returning Ds are a solid group who will handle the demands of the new season well. And I think they will be a source of some added offensive punch. It will take some time for the new Ds to settle into rotations, but they should bolster the defense fairly soon too.
The incoming class of forwards will take a while to adjust fully to the level of play they will meet on Bucky's schedule. But, the potential is there. Lopusanova will have high expectations to deal with, but her history suggests she will be a headache (perhaps, migraine?) for opponents. Likewise, the other new Fs - Kimbrel, Box, and Tremblay - should provide some serious added punch. It may take a while for all four of them to get comfortable with each other and with the more senior Fs. But once they have, the team's offense should border on the lethal - if not surpass it.
So, I am looking for an exciting season as the team adjusts to a challenging transition that will afford fans lots of excitement and what I expect may very well be another title to Madison.

Tremblay just played 3 games with the Canada national dev team… all college players.. against USA and she was on the top 2 lines and looked great! I don’t think her or Loupsanova will take long to fit in! They will both be ahead of CP (who did not make the team) when it comes to lines. Loupsanova has played a lot with u18 but unfortunately Slovakia national team (that she is a part of) has not had many opportunities to play against USA/Canada. I think tremblay will be on the 2nd line and NL line 3 but getting ample opportunity (unless they make her a winger with RT on line 2). I think both of them will make an immediate impact. Box will be 3/4th line with CP who, if she doesn’t get ice time this year, I see transferring out.
Thanks for your comments. I agree that it is going to be interesting to see how Mark allocates line time and how players respond. Should make for an interesting and exciting season, hopefully with a positive ending.

CP = Pieckenhagen? She was playing up the line-up at times last season, I don't see her out of the top 9 F. Top 4 are KG, Hall, Sappy, Scannell. The next group are McCarthy Halverson Pieckenhagen. I'd put her ahead of McCarthy and Halverson. Then we have the Fr Nela, Tremblay, Kimbrel, Box and unproven NG. Assuming Enright is gone via a rumor. Nela and Tremblay probably rank ahead of McCarthy Halverson Pieckenhagen. The 4th line is Kimbrel, Box and NG. The pressure is really on McCarthy and Halverson not to get over-run by all the Fr. Dang, UW has an unproven/inexperienced line-up at F.
Does the athletic department not know who is enrolled and who is not when posting the roster?

If you've driven across the isthmus today, or even the last few days, you have been made aware that this week is "move in week" for students moving into the dorms. First day of classes is Sept 2nd, aka next Wednesday.
Yes, they know who is and is not enrolled for the fall semester.

If "Things change in life everyday and thus overturn decisions", then you CANNOT make the definitive declarative statement "Claire Enright will NOT be playing for the Badgers any longer." Because "Things change in life everyday and thus [could] overturn" THAT specific decision.
