Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2025-2026

I said it myself about Gascon being someone who could steal a game, but if we can't beat Duluth at home then forget it.

At this point in the season you beat the team across from you.

Can't believe how scared of Duluth many seem to be.

"Scared" isn't correct. But if I get a choice between Duluth and Princeton, I'll absolutely take Princeton.

UConn wins, meaning you have ECAC teams at #7, 8, and 9.

And that means the only way to avoid ECAC vs ECAC on Thursday is to do two swaps: UConn from 6 to 7, and Quinnipiac from 7 to 6, AND Duluth from 10 to 9 and Princeton from 9 to 10.

That would give you HE UConn vs ECAC Princeton in Madison, and ECAC Quinnipiac vs Duluth in Columbus.

No idea if they will want to do that much swapping around. We find out in the morning.

Edwards created offense when she briefly played forward. Imagine if she played forward the whole game how that would have went. Scoring is at an absolute premium as we saw today. Sure feels like he's just throwing it away. I am beyond frustrated.

The refereeing has to be more consistent. It was a complete crap show this weekend.

I think the committee will find a way to put Duluth in either the OSU or WI Regional if they can, to eliminate the chance of 4 WCHA teams in the Final Four. This also creates an easier path for Penn St. to get there at home.

USCHO is showing Quinnipiac vs Franklin Pierce at LaBahn on Thursday at 7pm CDT. Guess I won't be picking up the ticket for the preliminary round. What a snoozer!

Curiosity had me looking at tickets for Saturday, to see what would be there: at 9 AM there were maybe 200 seats available, scattered around the rink. And by 9:04, they were all gone.

(Still a couple available for Thursday, though. :) )

I think his new name is Columbuscuck - no longer Sierra
Ditra's comment was asking if he had been in Madison for the Ohio State games in early February; not whether "Sierra" had posted something here.

You can look up a user ID and see when they last signed in, or was 'active' on the forum. In Sierra's case, I know that while he had not been commenting, he was signing in and reading every couple days through the fall, but now has not been here since December 12th. So, maybe he finally realized that it just wasn't a good idea for someone in his position, or something else changed, etc.

(I need to add that one can look up that kind of info for a user, unless they specifically limit their profile ... like "new user" Hky1 here has done, who has only made the one post we see here since creating his/her user account.)

Way too many egos have returned… need to check that crap at the door and get back to playing
I don't think there is an ego problem. Did that make for inaccurate passing? They had no time and space. It's all about puck possession. Main faceoff people.....Sappy 6 out 18, Picard 9 out of 15, Hall 13 out of 28. If you lose faceoffs and pass the puck not to your teammates......UW needs to return the favor if they get the chance to.

The 2nd period was a train wreck. I don't know if the short change had anything to do with it.

It sucks to lose to a see-ing eye goal, but I think this will ground them in a good way. If you escape with the W, it doesn't really do you much good.

I hope you are correct on this.

There's no way she should, but we'll see.
Quinnipiac plays legit defense, third in the NCAA in goals against. We will need all the offense we can get, and Laila's play at forward on Saturday certainly created some good chances for the brief time in the second period when she was moved up. Hard to believe MJ didn't see it. So, fingers crossed ...
