Wisconsin vs. St. Cloud (Friday)

Re: Wisconsin vs. St. Cloud (Friday)

Another goal for SCSU 4-1 and St. Cloud announcer says "take that Wisconsin!!!" I believe St. Cloud had two shots on net in the 3rd and both went in.

Re: Wisconsin vs. St. Cloud (Friday)

Great goal by Lasch.
**** good game by Lee :)

Re: Wisconsin vs. St. Cloud (Friday)

Sounds like the story of every Badger loss this year so far: generating plenty of opportunities, but with a complete inability to convert those chances into goals of them when the team needs it the most.

Re: Wisconsin vs. St. Cloud (Friday)

jake gardner gift wrapped it

every time I hear these giveaways on the radio, or see them live I think back to Miracle, "again!" "again!" i mean no-one is perfect but for a D that's gotten enough press to eclipse the Red Wings, it seems UW's D really commits more turnovers that can be reasonably expected from this group???? thoughts?

Can anyone confirm this? Because that is just insane.

He was looking for a pass and just left the puck behind. Seems that when they do make the turnovers they are really big WHOOPS!

It reminded me A LOT of the CC friday game.

Re: Wisconsin vs. St. Cloud (Friday)

Thank you. I figured that it was a bit of an overstatement.

Now, it may be true if you count quality chances (if you say an empty netter from center ice off a deflection is quality)

Re: Wisconsin vs. St. Cloud (Friday)

I would love to see a shot chart of that then. There is no possible way they got 7 shots on the net. Unless your counting dump-ins that the goalie plays:rolleyes:

Depends, were they on net?

SOG has a bit of a subjective nature to it very similar to ball/strike calls in baseball. I my experience, generally if the goalie plays the puck it will be counted as a SOG even if it wouldn't have gone in if the goalie hadn't played it. Thus SOG counts are nearly always inflated to some degree.
