Re: Wisconsin Recruiting Vol. IV - It's all coming together

I had just been looking at Aleksi Peltonen's stats and noticed Omaha brought him back from the NAHL 5 games ago. He has 2 goals and 4 assists in that time.

Very little point production from Stevens, Almquist, Koufis or Bohlin in the USHL thus far. Some production from De St. Phalle but he's on his third team if I remember correctly.

Re: Wisconsin Recruiting Vol. IV - It's all coming together

Awesome news, Turcotte (1st line) and Lindmark (3rd line) are in the line-up against the Muskegan playing C, so hopefully the injuries are behind them. Caufield is on the 2nd line for the record playing RW.

Confirmation on Leyh.

Not one of the forward recruits UW wanted to lose, but there is going to be a huge crunch at forward for ice time in Madison next season. He was not reasonably going to be top 6.

At Quinnipiac he will be likely in the top 6 for forwards.

"He cited Wisconsin already having four 2001-born forwards coming in next season".

Translation, "I don't like competition and I'm not as good as them, so I'll go somewhere else".

Not knocking him, just sayin'.

Tough loss. He could have been a 2-3 year guy who can score a lot of goals. But you can’t argue with his logic if he wants a top 6 spot immediately. The 4 incoming forwards would be ahead of him along with Weissbach and Dhooghe for sure.

Re: Wisconsin Recruiting Vol. IV - It's all coming together

I think this shows a major flaw in TG's strategy of over stacking talent, some may not want to wait for a chance or bet on themselves, like the Kryer kids and now this guy. He would have been top 12 F for sure. I HATE losing 1 point a game guy from the BCHL.

It’s not TG’s philosophy it’s Oseicki. He did this in his first stint as well.

He’s like Grant Standbrook imo. Unless or unti he stops delivering we’ll have to deal with the ocasional decommits.
