Wisconsin Hockey XXXIV: A Season without Chuck

Re: Wisconsin Hockey XXXIV: A Season without Chuck

I totally agree with you there. I was debating signing up until I heard your story.

NHL Gamecenter is very similar. They will automatically renew unless you call their phone number which isn't as easy to track down as it should be either.

I'll stick with the radio for now.

I also was debating about the B1G service until I read his review.

NHL Gamecenter actually cost less this year than it did last for me on auto renewal.

Posick is never a bad option.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey XXXIV: A Season without Chuck

I don't know *** BTN is thinking.
For you Wisconsin fans, maybe the BTN+ isn't such a bad deal as it seems, from what I have gleaned, that there are a few Badger games not televised this year.
But for me as a Gopher fan, the majority of games are on TV somewhere which means BTN+ only grants me access to 1 game.

I'm moving out of state and was totally ready to throw down money for an online stream - until I learned the subscription I could buy would only buy me 1 game.

It's a lose-lose situation as I will either try to pirate or not be able to watch.
The BTN lost revenue from me, and I lost the ability to watch the games/watch the games in anything resembling decent quality.

That is indeed the case, they have live half of what the rodents have. FYI As far as I can tell, I can watch the Saturday DU game, 7 out of the 8 MI/MI St games, the 2 home OSU games, the Trinity Western Tilt and both Alaska games with my subscription, and I have watch 4 games already. I'll just have to unsubscribe in March (thanks to all for the warning on unsubscribing). I am a little disappointed I cannot watch the Sue games this weekend, but Iheartradio and Mr. Posick will keep me informed as I bomb around Appleton with the Mrs. doing some early Xmas shopping.

Ouch. If true, chris Dilks twitter:

Source tells me Luke Kunin is telling people @ Wisconsin that he's going to #OHL. All but done, huge get for the Sarnia #Sting #2016NHLDraft

Really? I need to digest this before I go ballistic.

Yep. Looks like it is true. Trying to get something official. Multiple outlets reporting it.

On one hand I want to say I hate quitters. On the other this kid has to look out for his future and Wisconsin is at best a 10-win team this season and who on this team including coaches is really going to be able to push him to be better and better?

This better the effing hell be the end of Eaves. Also, Strand and Bittner must go. They need a complete reset immediately.

See? I was right. This isn't the break...

Geezus. What a nightmare.

I wish I was wrong for thinking that. I follow the CHL closely and Sarnia finally has a good team and had a feeling they were going to be pressing him hard. They probably used the Dvorak angle, amongst a long list of growing things.

This is going to be a really tough one for UW coaches to spin to recruits.

Also, pressure must be applied not only on Alvarez "I'm not a hockey guy" and Jason "I don't read your emails" king, but the board of regents must be contacted and we must implore with them. Hockey is a disaster because of both alvRez and eaves, make no mistake Alvarez must be accountable for this. It's time to clean house in madison

I think it was a good career move for him.

Sad that the asst coaches are once again going to be going down with the ship.....this time I think the captain is forced to sink to the bottom with them. I hope that was a Eaves worthy metaphor.

I'm not ready to toss Strand and Bittner under da bus yet. And for what's it's worth, Eaves has a large group of F's playing in the NHL right now, so it isn't like there's no history of UW guys in the NHL who played for Eaves. I just wish we knew the behind closed doors truth why Kunin left, Oplika left and why Boeser left. That's something Jason King has to get to the bottom of. How the fluck is UW going to get any better with high end guys bailing midseason? (not counting Boeser in that group).

Re: Wisconsin Hockey XXXIV: A Season without Chuck

Why did he even bother coming here in the first place? When the day comes that the staff can't get and/or retain elite talent, changes need to be made and I'm someone that wants to see the current staff succeed.

think we'd need to tie him down first, and get to him before he throws the asst. coaches overboard first. I do honestly feel sorry for them, but they did kind of know this going into it.

Same goes for Kunin, he kinda knew what he was getting into.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey XXXIV: A Season without Chuck

If aalllll the other crap didn't give us the final nail in the coffin to trigger a total reset/rebuild, this HAS to be it. Someone make a football analogy so Alvarez will understand.

If UW played Whitewater in a preseason warm up football game and tied would that be acceptable?

Re: Wisconsin Hockey XXXIV: A Season without Chuck
