One other thought does his shoulder injury this past season weigh into his decision

Regarding twitter: @CreaseCreatures and/or @BadgerMHockey have retweeted several of his tweets from earlier in the season, and there has been a lot of fairly generic (not that I don't think he means it) thanking of the fans and typical "safe" athlete talk about getting pumped for that weekend's series. The "one last time this season" tweet seems to be completely along those lines - they're on the road for the rest of the season, and he was excited to play one more home game before the end of the regular season and the subsequent tournaments.

we have group heading up will only make the badger games.....if NoDak is playing friday night in the nchc tourney we will be going to watch that...also doing the sat afternoon wild game

Wierd start time for Saturday...3PM. It would work out great to see that in it's entirety then head over the the Gal's game.
I will be dvring it. UW's gotta keep the hammer down, so slow starts or sloppy play. There only 4 more games til ncaa play to get on a big run of consistant play.

I'm sincerely hoping the men's game is on at LaBahn for those of us that need to be there early

Where would it be on? Are there screens in there or are you thinking the video board?

I'm going to the game on Saturday, but I think the men's game will be over before puck drop and we'll be somewhere for dinner that we can watch it.

I realize that maybe you're working the game?

Section 101.

It wasn't advertised or anything, not being an official event put together by the athletic department. One student who works in the ticket office wanted to get the students to sit in the same place, so we called a guy in the athletic office, and we got (slightly discounted) tickets in the same spot.
