I went to the Saturday MSU matinee. I was unsure about it at first, but I admit I liked the timing. Got to watch hockey, got done and still had a full Saturday night ahead. It isn't someone that I would want every Saturday but now and then would be fine.

UW can't take psu lightly, gotta keep the pressure on the rodents.

Looks like the line combos are the same but Soleway and Little are flipped.

No TV......that sucks.

Now that Patrick Eaves has been traded to Nashville, is UW going to redesign its jerseys so they look like Nashville's?

Lota juice for the series, eh? Book that win and let's finish the task off. I was bummed OSU didn't didn't give the rodents a little harder time. UW's still in the title chase with 3 to go.

Can probably wrap up the 2 seed with a win tonight even if Michigan wins again.

I realize it won't be clinched, buy the 3 points would go a long considering that Michigan would have to sweep next weekend and we'd have to pretty much get swept.

Good start was key. When they've lost recently it's been due to coming out sluggish. Should be a point of emphasis from here on out.

If they keep winning a 1 seed in the NCAA is a distinct possibility - was really hoping CC would get a win vs Jan last night. I'm assuming it would be the Cincinnati regional if that happens.

It's disappointing when there's no TV or stream available, but I do enjoy Posick's radio call.

There is a stream available. In fact, if you have an insidebadgersports.com account you don't even need to pay any more than you already are.

Sounds like the Kerdiles goal was a thing of beauty! Anyone have a highlights link?

In the post-game radio interview Schuey wasn't too happy with the effort after the game - basically said they were lucky to leave with the win. Penn State is gonna be a force next season.

I think Schuey was too tough on the boys. That comes from Eaves who seemingly is never satisfied. Its a rough thing to never get the feeling that you have fully done your job. You knew PSU would come out hard. They outplayed Minny last Saturday night for the most part. I don't get the negative attitude most of the time. These are kids and not pros. Same goes for fans who boo players that are not in the professional ranks. No place for it.

Despite the win, Wisconsin was out-played by Penn State last night. Are you saying you'd rather have the coaching staff lie to the fans/players? I love the honesty. This isn't high school hockey, this is big time college athletics. They aren't there to be buddies. Badgers have to be better than they were last night if they want to beat good teams as the season goes along. They won last night because they have Joel Rumpel, Nic Kerdiles and Mark Zengerle and Penn State doesn't. Lot of average effort from the rest of the roster last night.

FWIW, Eaves took the blame for the start last night. Said he needs to do a better job of preparing his team to play.

My thoughts exactly. Nice for Eaves to try and deflect, but if this group still hasn't figured it out yet with only 2 games to go, will they ever?

I am saying its the same thing every time coaches go on the radio. Win loose or draw, never enough. By now nothing the coaches say will make much of a difference. They still start slow on the raod almost every time. yes it will hurt them a ton in the post season. This team has played to the level of their competition all season . They have dug themselves out of dissapointing play early in the year. Minnesaota was no better than Buckey when they played Penn State the next night. Whne the coaches come on the radio I will just tune out. You can relish in the "Honesty".
