Jump on in, Tim. The water is fine.

Afterall, it does appear to be a gopher free team! Unless I missed someone on their roster.

I never hated the Wild, I just HATE the gophers. All day, every day, rain or shine, just like the postal worker will get you your mail, I'll be here to hate the gophers.

Last I saw, they had Darby Hendrickson on their coaching staff. But, as a Richfield native, I don't mind that at all.

Haula makes the Wild a Gopher team.

The postal worker doesn't deliver on Sundays, so are you a huge Gopher rube on Sundays?

****, you got me. Couldn't slip that one by this crowd. I transfer my hate to the Vikings on sundays, at least until the NFL regular season ends and so does their season.

So I click on the link and the headline says "Parise and Suter choose the state of hockey". There's almost no way I can root for an nhl team that calls their home state the "state of hockey". Ugh. That just screams rodent arrogance. I just can't stoop to that level.

Nor should you. The Wild suck.

Plus, most of their fans are also 1) Gopher fans and 2) Vikings fans.

Why would you want to have anything in common with those people?

Parise: "Every kid growing up in Minnesota would love to play with the Wild. That’s the way it is."

Where have I heard that phrase before? Hmmm...

Better than to be grasping at the teat of the Wirtz clan.

That pretty much sums up how I feel. I want to back the former UW boys, but I just can't associate with those people.

When Parise was a kid, were the Northstars still there or were the Wild in existence?

Have to give the guy credit, he understood that yet knew enough to avoid the college version of Minnesota hockey . . . .

His dad played for the North Stars. The Stars left town when he was around 9 years old. The Wild came to town while he was playing at Shattuck.
