Re: Wisconsin Hockey, Vol II: Rebuild, Refresh, and Renew!

How much for each broadcast?

I checked with St Lawrence Media Relations and the live stream is free, archives are pay to watch.

From the Clarkson website
FREE streaming video service!
Clarkson Athletics and Pack Network have partnered to offer free video productions that feature live action with on-screen scoreboards and more. This season, men's and women's soccer, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's hockey, and men's and women's lacrosse will be streamed live right here at ClarksonAthletics.TV.
I don't see any archive links in their schedules or video pages.

It looks like both are free to watch live, and you should be able to watch St Lawrence later for a fee.

WOW - that is tremendous news. Thanks so much for the info!

On Wisconsin!

Hopefully Clarkson's archived games are easily accessible and/or free. Hoping to hold off on hearing about the game until after the football game.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey, Vol II: Rebuild, Refresh, and Renew!

Well, if this doesn't work don't get mad - but usually our local HS football games are streamed live. If I pause the stream once the game has started and do not leave the site I can usually continue watching it even a few hours later, well after the game is over.

Might be worth a try.....Good Luck.

Worth a try, thanks.

Anybody else watch the stream tonight?

I thought they played really well. A few bad defensive gaffes in the first, as per usual this season, but there weren't many at all after that. Special teams continues to be a bright spot, as they were able to bag a shorty in the 3rd that ended up being the game winner. Overall, great pace to the game when there weren't penalties being called.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey, Vol II: Rebuild, Refresh, and Renew!

When Osiecki (in the postgame show) said they're slowly getting the players to understand that "You're not going to win hockey games with hits; you're just not," I was so happy. Playing well physically is good, but I've seen so many Badgers in recent memory take that extra half second to keep gliding away from the play in order to finish a check - even if it doesn't influence the pass whatsoever - putting them at a disadvantage as they take themselves out of the play (more so than the opponent who already did his job).

Re: Wisconsin Hockey, Vol II: Rebuild, Refresh, and Renew!

This was really a nice win for the boys. I also thought they started a little off the pace in the first, gave up some puck battles and left Jurusic hanging a few times. I was a little worried because Matt looked to be fighting it a bit early on. When he is sitting back in the crease and not out and aggressive he gets in trouble almost every time. Conversely, when he out on top and going after it he can really look good as he did later in the game. Kid has a fantastic glove, I'll say that for him. I also thought Master Luke was maybe waiting to feel the force or something early-- He's had a bit of trouble getting going in some games and that line has played a little too much in their own end so far. This one seemed no different in the first. But the boys picked it up in the second, and in the third they were really clicking.

With the close and low camera JD's skating really stood out to me. He's really smooth with his footwork and eats up a ton of ice with each stride. I liked Wags and Labosky together a lot. Could be the perfect third line with the way those guys hustle and move their feet. Big Freddy has also been really impressive right out of the gate. I like where this team is going.

Big challenge tomorrow night to put three good periods together.

Congrats on a well played game and win. I think you are spot on......the only wish for me as an SLU fan is when we were carrying the play at the start we missed two wide open nets, one when we were shorthanded that certainly could have changed he complexion of the game.

Special teams are the thing that has been killing SLU this year. We are like 4 for 37 on the PP and we've given up as many goals (4) on shorties as we've scored. When we are down a man...we can't keep the other team off the board. When we are up a man we don't score and often give up good chances the other way as evidenced by the short handed goals. I don't know what your experience has been with officiating out your way early on.......but here it has been AWFUL. This increased emphasis on certian infractions like interference are wrecking the flow of the game. Last week against Providence we were called for 18 (yes you read it correctly) penalties. We've lamented the fact that a year or two ago we played a game against in conference foe Colgate. The game started at 7, ended at 9 and the first period was played in 22 minutes. That's flow!!!

Also don't know if you are/were aware but this was a homecoming game for JD Greenway.......he is actually from Canton, NY so I'm sure he had lot's of family and friends watching.

As to tomorrow night........Clarkson has been playing much better than us. We started out 3-1 and have been horrid since.

You'll be happy to know that that was talked about quite a bit. He talked about growing up a St. Lawrence fan in an interview that played on the radio during intermission. The Badgers site and madison.com ran pieces on his background as well.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey, Vol II: Rebuild, Refresh, and Renew!

Sets up as a Big Game for the young Badgers tonight. Hopefully they checked the box score from the Goofs game with Clarkson as Clarkson jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first before the gofers got it going in the second and third and managed the 4-3 OT win. Slow starts have been a bit of an issue for Bucky, so it'd be great to have some jump right from the puck drop. Wouldn't mind if we put the Seamus line out to take the opening draw and set the pace.

Clarkson split with Vermont, tied Providence, and beat UMASS so they appear to have something going on, and a road win would set us up to claw our way back into respectability in the national picture with 4 winnable home games coming up vs. NMU and Merrimack. These NC games are so big later in the year and this one as big as any. Win and we're rolling with some confidence, lose and we're back to .500 and still questioning what we're doing right and wrong. Let's just get to work and get it done.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey, Vol II: Rebuild, Refresh, and Renew!

So......

Just started watching the video feed.....they played the Canadian National Anthem, then the US Anthem. Thought that was interesting. And he guys doing the pregame were about a combined 40 years old.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey, Vol II: Rebuild, Refresh, and Renew!

I got the Big 1070 feed synched up with the Clarkson video and this is about as good as it gets. Badgers up 2-0!

Re: Wisconsin Hockey, Vol II: Rebuild, Refresh, and Renew!

Another observation.....

What's up with that visiting penalty box "area"??? There's like 4-5 non-players standing around in there!

Re: Wisconsin Hockey, Vol II: Rebuild, Refresh, and Renew!

My goodness boys, can we stay out of the penalty "area"? When it was 5 on 5 early on in the 1st period we had a great flow going and looked to be in control. Ever since we started taking all of these penalties we've brought Clarkson back into the game.

LET'S GO RED!
