I'd be more surprised by that than by any other outcome, though maybe not as surprised as I should be. Nothing strongly surprises me at this point, especially with how inconsistent they've been throughout the season. (If I were to bet on it, though, I'd bet on a Minnesota sweep, and not just to hedge my happiness.)

Not sure Wisconsin can actually fall by losing to BU, so I think MN would have to go up in order for us to beat that differential against Northeastern. Very strange, but true.

Hey, at least you have a good shot for a sweep next Halloween against ASU.

Forget Northeastern, that's ancient history. We needed overtime to beat RIT (I believe #49 in the Pairwise at the time) at home last weekend to take 3rd place in our own tournament.

Interesting note from the San Jose/Minnesota broadcast tonight. Apparently Suter has 5 hours more ice time than any other Wild player this year.

Pardon the interruption - wanted to quickly ask you guys that live there if you think the weather for tomorrow will cause any delays. I hear you will be getting some snow, just don't know when. I'm flying to Madison through Chicago. My flight leaves O'Hare at 3:00 with scheduled arrival at 3:47. Will it be bad then?

Anecdotal, but I've never flown through Chicago without a delay.

It's only supposed to be one or two inches. You should be fine.

We're only supposed to get 1-3", so I wouldn't expect that to cause significant delays. It'll probably be snowing when you arrive, though. And f-ing cold!

There was some discussion about our 1st halves under Eaves, so I put together the following table. NCAA appearances are noted by the season years being in bold in the 1st column. When either half of the season was under .500, those cells are highlighted yellow. I considered the first half to run through the ol' Badger Hockey showdown when applicable. Unsurprisingly, there were no NCAA appearances when they were under .500 in the first half with the exception of 2012-13 when they got the autobid.

Are you being facetious? Has it not been made clear in the Lodge I'm a BU fan? If not, I should probably change that :) Headed there to see BU play Wisconsin.

I know, but I'm not the sort of guy to rub it in.
