I did not. Given the opportunities we had I feel we could have gotten 4. So many Montgomery rushes start out looking like prime chances only to fizzle out without getting a shot on goal. He's got to get heavier on the puck. Additionally, Fitzgerald had 3 shots on goal and Finley had 1. That is not acceptable. They both have to find some ice to get some more shots off. In tight games 1 shot on goal for Finley is going to hurt us. Tassey was a little quiet this season, but he's saved our bacon lately.

I heard they were bringing in a one eyed money with 3 legs and fruit bat.

I thought the color analyst yesterday was really really good. He didn't just push the predicted narrative, he went with the flow of the game. At least he acknowledged UW spent a lot of weeks in the top 3 in the polls. The narrative is they were meh, had a bad losing streak and now they are just hot at the right time. They are healthy and coached up.

I noticed over the course of most of 2nd of year Montgomery not the same offensively. His hands seem weak at the finish.
 
I've noticed since the FF was set, there are TONS of sour grapes folks on X saying their team should actually be the one in the FF bc they are better. It's fascinating how many ppl are now saying "It's BS that this tourney is single elimination" or "The entire tourney should be a best of 3 series".

It's mind numbingly exhausting.

did he miss any games with injury? if it was a wrist injury it can take a while to get back to full strength. alternatively he could be playing through one. at the very least if he gets the puck on net someone might be able to pop in a rebound.

he's still pretty young, so it could just be confidence. i’m doubtful of that though, usually you don’t go on a Mem Cup run with Dale Hunter’s goon squad and come out lacking confidence in big games 😆

Denver is "supposed" to be there, UW is not. Going with the Las Vegas theme, the Badgers are playing with house money. Play loose, play free, see what happens.

(Tim will understand this better than maybe some of the others, but it's giving me 2023 Cam Kronish vibes.)
