It looked very empty on TV. Posick and Brophy made a interesting observation that their D, other than CC, suck offensively. That could be a bigger factor than I had considered. They don't need 6 Brendan Smiths or Sean Hills, but they need to have 1 really good offensive one, a couple who are assist rackers and 3 other solid guys. Of course if the F's aren't scoring and the PP sucks, it's hard for the D to rack up apples too. It's just a trainwreck.

The recruits don't know the former scoring prowess of many of these players that they had previously to coming to UW to wonder where has it gone. Also, these guys may be thinking "Oh Sheet", but they aren't going to tell the newspaper anything. They will send the staff a text saying they are going somewhere else out of the blue. You know other coaches are all over the highly regarded players, throwing how bad the team is in front of them. Why wouldn't they? I would not be shocked to see some guys jump ship. The record is 2-2-2 over the last 6, but they aren't scoring goals, that is the problem.
Call me crazy, but I might go the the game Saturday. The women's series is cancelled and I need hockey BAD! My daughter and I will sit in our own 300 section alone again, pretty cool, yet sad. Let's go RED!

Well I bought 2 tickets to paradise, er the Saturday men's game. I feel about the men's hockey team like The Offspring song Self Esteem (one of my favorite songs of all time). One of my favorite lines...."Now I know I should say no, but its kind of hard when she's ready to go."

Maddy loves going to games with me. She is my hockey buddy.
Hey a sweep! The PP worked at totally crucial times, sealing the game Friday and winning it on Saturday. They are kinda coming around I think. They played a solid game yesterday, of course the 2 bad plays off faceoffs ended up in the net, but Moe cleaned up the rest. MdSP, Johnson and Bantle are rising to the top as we hoped they would, just 2 months later than hoped. Corson seems to be everywhere at times in a good way, and his teammates cover as we would want to see. Still has an oops occasionally, he will grow out of those.
Reffing was trash. I don't think either 5 minute yesterday was even a penalty. It's like a big hit rattles a guy's head against the glass and its a penalty. MdSP gets pushed into the goalie, falls on him and gets called for roughing? Watts was he supposed to do? Ice slippery and he's wearing skates. There was a crosscheck called yesterday on UW that was the weakest crosscheck called in the history of the sport. They would not have called that in a women's game.
There were a few maybe 8 very vocal MSU students in the 3rd tier behind the creatures and there was a great interaction between them and the creatures. Lots of funny stuff. And the band was there! Whoot!

So, the Badgers losing record to date can blamed on supply chain issues? We just need to solve at the local level, and keep the alcohol moving to Crainer!

A lot to say that's pent up frustration.
I'm not excited about the "4 game winning streak". It's not like they beat anybody in the top 15 or so.
I'm still WAY down on this program. Although they don't miss ME, they have to be missing the thousands of fans who've given up on the program. I'm not happy to say it, but I haven't been to a game for over 3 years. I don't even watch them on TV.
Do I miss it? Of course I do, I love hockey. Just NOT this brand under this staff. As most of you know, the past 3+ years (except last season) my money has been going to chasing the Avalanche around the Midwest with MCR Jr.
Check out the current top 20 teams. The MAJORITY are big-time college hockey programs who are there more often than not. Let's face it, last year was an anomaly. No Caufield, no B16 title and he saved the coach's asses? And now Granato gets extended through 2026? What the fuck? Does he have pictures or something?
Almost 30 years ago on the UWFB team, Joe Panos stated, "Why not Wisconsin?".
So why not Wisconsin hockey?
Regarding the recruiting article by Todd; We'll never know, but wouldn't it be great to know WHO the staff has contacted and the young men have said, "No thank you".
But we hear about a kid we get who decommits from the MU RedHawks?
C'mon man.

I’m with you on all of this. There will be less than 2,000 per game if they keep Granato. Which I guess they are. I’ve lost interest to the point where I don’t read articles, have 0 idea of recruiting because it doesn’t matter with this staff and I’m just tired of the state of the program for most of the last 26 years.
I just don’t care anymore. Until a change happens I’ll be mostly lurking once in a while. I even forgot they had a game tonight.

So clearly I did not drink enough, your capacity must be amazing.
Of course gotta yank Moe once you hit that 3 goal threshold. I give TG credit for having so much self control not to yank him last time he gave up 3. It's just so amazing that yanking the goalie after 3 turns around every singe game without doubt that he does that in. Watts a genius he is. Maybe if he yanks them after 2 they won't lose another game all year that yanking concept is so effective.
