The play where the Q goalie saved the game by throwing his stick is the one that got me riled.
I had no issues with the penalties called on the Badgers. It's the missed ones noted above that anger me. Not that the PP would have gotten it done anyway.....
Great first year. Not sure what happened the second half but they just weren't the same as the first half. It'll be interesting to see the roster changes going into next year.

C'mon Q!
I have watched that play on replay a few times and it's pretty clear that contact from Whitelaw's stick or skate takes the stick out of Duplessis' hands as he crashes the net. There's a slow-motion replay from above the net the shows it quite well.

Of the remaining teams I MUST cheer for MSU.

Definitely Sparty or QU (I have no issues with Q assuming they come out ahead in OT vs BC).
Definitely can't have Michigan or Denver winning a 10th, and don't want BC or BU tying us with a 6th. In the nightmare scenario of a Michigan, DU, BC, BU frozen four, I think I would have to root for Denver.

I tried to help him, but.... If you're going to come out with a statement like that after going from the basement to second with marked improvement in every facet of the game, you'd at least expect some sort of cogent argument for suggesting this beyond having some issue with Mike's lack of hair.

You want a coach who had 26 wins fired after one season? A coach who previously guided Mankato to 2 Frozen Four’s in the last few years? A coach who has NEVER had a losing season anywhere as coach?

Has anyone informed you that Granato was already fired and replaced with Mike Hastings?
Certainly a concern after watching BC, BU, Michigan and Denver. We don't have those types on the roster. Certainly having the depth of 4 lines that can go against anyone is important too. 4th lines were huge in the NCAA tourney games.

Whitelaw is the first big loss. But… maybe this is indicative of the late season slide. Maybe some kids weren’t buying in?
