Call the ticket office. I'm sure that if you talk to a person they can do things that a computer system can't.

I ended up calling and yes, they got me where I wanted to be. The issue really is that now buying online, which is a kinda popular thing these days, restricts you and that bugs the crap out of me. I emailed the ticket office, but they have yet to respond. I'm looking forward to that dialog.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey 2019-2020: Time to Get Offensive

So, my family and I are going to Madison and thought we'd catch the Badgers/Bulldogs series. I haven't seen a game in Madison since it was at Dane County.

Question: Why is there no game time listed yet? Both games don't have times listed. Is there a chance the games will be noon games or something like that? Saturday I could maybe see that, but looks like the football team isn't at home.

Also, I have a 10 year old kid. Any recommendations for fun stuff to do around Madison area?

Game times are usually announced once the all of the other Big Ten sports are scheduled and they sort out which games might get TV coverage on Big Ten Network.
95% of the games will be 7pm start, sometimes a 6pm or an 8pm depending on TV scheduling.

There is the Madison Children's Museum which has lots of interesting and interactive things for kids that age.
There is the Henry Vilas Zoo.
Depending on the kid's interests, that weekend is also the Wisconsin Science Festival with lots of events in/around Madison.
The campus area also has a couple of other museum/exhibit type offerings.

Thank you! :)

Looking at location. What end of the ice would UMD being shooting at for 2 periods, instead of just one?

The UW student section is the 113-116 range, with the band in 117. That is the end that UW shoots at twice. So if you want to see the opponent get suffocated by our D and shut out by our GK for 2 of 3 periods, seats in the 125-106 end would be best.
The visiting bench is by 121-122, the visiting team comes through the tunnel under 118.
The UW bench is by 122-123, they come in through the tunnel under 126.
Penalty boxes and score keeper are in the 108 area opposite of the benches.

Love it. Bring it you stinkin MN team. Those colors are ugly no matter how you try and jazz them up.

Whoa son, respect; it's not Dinky Town or MinneaParis. It's friggin' Duluth!

Although they DO have a few Cake-Eaters, at least they went up to Duluth.

And remember, the UMTC gets Bulldog rejects.

I have a feeling that at the UMD games we'll hear chants of "Gopher Rejects"
And then during the Gopher games we'll hear similar chants of "Bulldog Rejects" or "Husky Rejects" or "Maverick Rejects" or "Beaver Rejects"...

He's got this right: "Wisconsin has more than enough talent to win the wide-open Big Ten; it is now up to head coach Tony Granato to piece this immediate-impact freshman class together with the rest of the roster and guide the Badgers to their first tournament appearance since 2014."

Hopefully it's OK to post CHN articles here.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey 2019-2020: Time to Get Offensive

I'm cautiously optimistic. Remember the 2006 Goofers with arguably the best roster in the country? Got knocked out early by Holy Cross. Gotta keep egos (and reading about themselves) in check.

Pfft. To hell with caution. I expect to raise another banner.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey 2019-2020: Time to Get Offensive

Went to UW Badgers to buy tickets for UMD Friday game and they have $12.50 in charges on top of paying for the tickets. A $10 "order charge" and $2.50 for "other charges."

Are they freaking high??! Or just plain stupid. $12.50 in charges is insane.

My family had season tix for 30 years so rarely had to buy single game tickets before. Is this normal?

Stubhub is a little cheaper but the selection is limited.

It’s been that way for awhile. Greedy athletic department.

I've never understood extra charges (whether it be UW, movie theatres, DMV)
when you make transactions on line. You're saving people the hassle of face to face and everything is electronic.

****ing greedy is right.

I've been buying single games for years and yes that is the norm. I loved it when they charged you a convenience fee for print at home tickets. I save them the paper, ink, envelop, postage and or paying someone to hand me the tickets, but instead I pay more. The ticket office never responded to my on line ticket ordering complaint either. Spineless.

Just scalp. You'll save money.

Elitist.....

:)

You want me to buy the yellow Ferrari though I really wanted the red one? Um, no.

Friendly reminder to the men's posters, the women's first home games are this weekend, against PSU of which I know there is no love lost on the men's side. Don't be sexist, come see the ladies play. To me the women's game is a more pure version of hockey than the men's due to less physical play. I am hoping for 2 bloodbath type games.
