Wisconsin Hockey 2018-2019: We can have a witty thread title when we start winning

I've had it. I'm sick of the losing. Start winning.

Year three and they are still just a .500 or worse team. #1 picks blah blah blah.

Start winning. Now!

"Start winning. NOW!"

2 and a half years ago, I had my socks knocked off by the coaching announcement. I don't want to put them back on.

I'm with ya, man. But it'll never happen. It sucks. That, and as the big name programs go more corporate, the crowds get neutered in their participation. Can't say this, can't do that.....this is hockey! It's supposed to be blood and guts and life and death.

I dunno the prices out there, but SRO for MN homes games are something like $40/game now. Add parking and eats to that, ugh.

And in the meantime, streaming coverage is nearly always available, of pretty high quality, and affordable. Even at rinks where the camera people are students, they are starting to figure out how to film a hockey game. Unlike football, Hockey is a game where being in the stands is much better than viewing a screen, for a whole host of reasons, but streaming coverage is steadily encroaching.

The PP was brutal. What the heck is the point of the one player rocketing up to the blueline, pass it back to the last guy who takes it in? It creates nothing. Maybe if the last guy was rocketing up and then just blows by the flat footed defenders, but that's not how it worked. In zone PP created nothing.

The PK box kept getting collapsed and the rodents were shooting from the dots a lot. The rodents had no problem with their box. I love Seamus, but on the 3rd goal the shooter is right in front of him, lift his stick for heaven's sake, you can't leave him untouched.

The Finnish Hammer didn't have a chance on any of the 3 goals. He looked and played solid.

Tiscke/Ess looked bad for a lot of the game, but Tischke did have a huge save.

Kalynuk got a little too puck happy at times, pass the thing. Heck of a snipe on that goal though.

The 4the line had the most consistent pressure all night and a beautiful goal.

Yes. The frosh and sophs are leading the way. That’s the bright spot.

Completely disagree. Goals 2 and 3 he either put himself in a bad spot or should’ve made the save.

Goal 2: he was more focused on poke checking and he was way late for it to be close to effective.

Goal 3: gotta cover that entire post when it’s plays in tight like that.

I knew it was bad, but I didn't realize that we are 1-7-1 against the goofs, the last 9 games at Kohl. JFC. I should stay away.

BTW, D.Leb can really flash the leather; got a ****-quick glove.

Looks like we found a goalie. Athletic. Looks competitive... fights hard in the scrums around the net.

What happened to Mersch?

He got a DQ (5 min major) for a charge/hit from behind on the pussie Sheehy who turned at the last second. IMO it was bullschitt. He sure goes down easy when somebody brushes him.

Tonight's game was similar to last night's except for that 1min 14 sec.

Thanks! I only caught the last 10 minutes on radio.

Now I just heard S. Dhoogie was injured? ****.

Wow. That should be 2 mins. What a weak call.

Agreed. Oh well.

Lebby was awesome tonight. Good game overall. Man, the PK... I tell you what, that garbage isn’t a box. It’s an awkward triangle and a straggler pursuing the guy with the puck. The PP, for the love of god, stop doing the drop pass in the neutral zone!!!!

Good series, guys. I'll take a split on the road against a rival.
