Wisconsin Hockey 2018-2019 Part 2: Still not time for the witty thread title.

Re: Wisconsin Hockey 2018-2019 Part 2: Still not time for the witty thread title.

At a local brew pub. INDYCAR on one tv, badgers vs rats on the other. I’m in heaven! My hatred for the gophers is at full on rage mode. Pass the thinner!

Watched IndyCar before the game, during the intermissions and after. Sucks 2 of my 3 my Penske boys had issues, but I'm flying high anyway. Way to go Mark Johnson. The legend continues.

I just witnessed history! UWSP completes the undefeated season in overtime, defeating Norwich 3-2 for the D3 National Championship!!! First undefeated D3 team ever! #Number6

Boy I wish I had more time to go see great hockey like this.

Congrats, guys. No shame in losing to that team, in my eyes. These were two giants going at it. I was lucky enough (read: had enough pull) to have the local brewery put on the game with sound. :) It was kind of watching a slow downward spiral. Gophers started strong, but just kept sinking. :(

We'll get ya next year.

That may very well be true, UW has a ton of talent coming in (and a ton staying), but this Sr. class was special and they will be hard pressed to replace them.

I was just looking over the USCHO Bracketology. There really isnt a team Im interested in. Maybe Denver since I've always respected that team and maybe MN Duluth since I have good mammaries, errr I mean memories of past road trips.

AIC! AIC! AIC! Usually ranked in the last 2-3 PWR spots, they won their conference, and now have made the tourney for the first time ever. Let's put it this way: bought their jersey a couple years ago, and I will be proudly wearing it for the tourney, since my beloved Gophers are golfing.

Yeah baby!! Badgers rule!

^ What he said!

That was a great game wire to wire, and the good side won! So, so happy to see that senior class cap off their college careers that way. I suppose I'd say that for every year, but they may as well do it in the year in which they spent most of the time at the top! I figured I'd see this happen eventually, but I still have a bit of disbelief that it all came together like that. They just kept making the plays they were "supposed" to make in the long run and....it happened!

The ****ing Yellow Jackets? An insect? And we all thought a rodent mascot was the worst! 😉 👊.

Seriously, have fun with it; I like pulling for under dogs. I remember over 10 years ago I was rooting for a small college named Holy Cross. 😁

Our men's hockey teams didn't entertain us so we might as well entertain each other across the St. Croix!

You're secretly a UND fan?! (For real, UND fans bought HC jerseys AFTER the win, b/c of the hatred of the Gophers)

But, for real, yeah, I like the underdogs. And for AIC's turnaround, that's really cool. I don't expect anything, of course, but they made it! I'm not one to go for "rooting for the conference" or BS like that. If it's not my team, then I'll root for a team that needs the support, and/or has a really cool fanbase (see: MTU).

Anyone else get the survey on the program, and 12 questions asking how they could increase my ticket prices???

Because I love you all so much (and have tons of time due to being unemployed... haha.)

The 1983 NCAA Championship game....

Wish I had the 1981 game, but I've never been able to track down a copy of that.

AIC and ASU for underdog reasons. I like what it might say to potential donors at other new program prospect schools if they see ASU succeed.

Have to appreciate some schools making waves that normally aren’t there: BGSU, UMass.

If an NCHC team is going to win it, I’ll pull for UMD over SCSU, if only because a repeat champ would be cool.

I have the 92 championship game, 06 semi vs Maine and championship on dvd. I don’t have a clue how to upload to YouTube 🙁
