Wisconsin Badgers 2026 Offseason

The last couple years they have put them out around the 8th-10th of August. I would expect they might be out on Monday. I can't believe it takes this long as well. Are any other rinks in the Big Ten multi-use arenas?

Schottenstein Ctr where OSU plays is a multipurpose. That's what got Oz fired as head coach. Scheduling conflict and they threw them into the old 1000 seat shell. He went ballistic.

WI has been a CCM school for a VERY long time. Something must have been just off with the relationship for them to switch. Either the cost was just getting out of control, compared to quality, or it was a preference for the Hastings coaching staff. Either way, it doesn't bother me. Those are the 2 big boys and at that level they both make elite equipment/skates.

The NC schedule is a little weak. Which honestly scared me in the past. Not so much now, but that early series vs Mankato is going to be huge. That and the holiday series.

Not knocking Robert Morris, but there is no reason we should be playing them over a Michigan Tech, St. Cloud or Minnesota Duluth. They are going to have to only have 1 loss in the NC slate to keep NPI up....but...team looks gangbusters so Im good about that!

I was curious about this with Bauer being owned by Nike and UW being a UA school, figured we would be CCM for a while. Looks like the CCM contract ran out on 07/15, replaced by 10 year contract with Bauer.
 
With hockey having a unique spot compared to the other sports being UA (i.e. the equipment is also part of the uniform) no way UW is letting tbe CCM contract expire without direct input/recommendations from Nate LaPoint, Hastings, Johnson and the Hockey Ops/GM.

Totally agree, but with some of my dealings with other campuses and hockey teams, a lot of movement away from CCM, at least from a exclusivity aspect.

well 2 of the 3, with warrior, for at least some of the gear.
 
On the ole twitter box, it is amazing how quickly arrogant the rodents have become.....because they got a new head coach.

Larson is a solid hire, don't get me wrong. But the idea that he is some home run hire kinda makes me laugh. I didbt think he really did that much at St. Cloud the last few years.

Im sure though Sandelin is glad he is gone.

Agreed. Larson didn’t impress me at St. Cloud. It seems like they may have pulled a Ped state and fired a good coach due to their pressure cooker expectations.
