Wisconsin Badgers 2018-2019

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2018-2019

Updates on the TBA's....

BSU Sat game is 2
St. Cloud Sat game is 6 (very curious time, but not complaining)

The guys are practicing, first series is 10/12, I must assume the gals are on the ice as well, first series is 9/28.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2018-2019

Opportunities to do a gals/guys double header. The best seats for the guys will be the first 2 games, early season non b7 games usually have lots of great seating available. The UM - MTU is a no brainer for me, though I'll have to buy 1 extra ticket for the gal's game.

10/13 UMD - BC
10/27 UM - MTU
12/1 Cuse - PSU
2/9 MSU - OSU

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2018-2019

I'm having trouble reconciling the idea that we should sieve Rooney when UW plays them in a month or so. I'm more of a States rights guy, so my allegiance is more to WI and the USA, though the allegiance gap isn't that wide. I know overall the typical UW women's fan is much less raucous and more polite, kinda in a golfing fan vein, than I am, which typically doesn't bother me, but I do have great respect for what she accomplished, though on the other hand she did displace Rigsby, which makes me angry/sad. Interestingly, I asked myself "if Rooney played for the rodents, what would you do?" My answer: I'd freaking sieve her until the sun froze over, but there is a special disdain reserved for the rodents. I'm so conflicted.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2018-2019

You must not have followed the sport closely in the days when Shannon's team used to take Bucky to the woodshed with a trophy on the line, or you'd have more disdain for UMD as well.

Although Crowell is definitely not Miller, so there's that.

Correct, that was before my time following the team at all. I think you just made my decision a little easier.

We're #2! We're #2! We're #2!

I have a sneaking suspicion that the WCHA coaches will not make UW #1 on their pre-season predictions. Shirley should be ROTY, Pankowski or Clark will win POTY.

Aw, Tim, we have always thought of you as #2 ;)

It is tough to guess about the preseason poll. WCHA coaches like to make MN #1 so they can psych their teams up for them but given the last 2 years it is entirely possible the Budgies will get that attention instead.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2018-2019

That's a lot of work! I don't know if I have 15 minutes available or not. You do typically need A's to get G's you know.

the problem with counting total points is that the average goal has more than one assist, IOW, although some unassisted goals are scored, far more have two assists, consequently counting points gives more credit for assists than goals, and as the previous poster stated, goals are what count on the scoreboard.
Although given the wide gap, WI likely has more returning goals.

… oh yeah, Wisconsin sucks
big

Waiting to see line combos from practice is worse than waiting to see anything else on the planet, other than the wife to be walk down the isle and the wife pop the kids out. I just can't bear the wait.

No one has divulged the line combo's in spite of my pleas! So sad.

A key for UW this season will be their special teams. Last year both were decent 14th or so , but not elite. They will need elite special teams this year to complete the puzzle.

A win is a win is a win. 1-0-0
Couldn't help but notice this difference:

Badgers' shooting percentage: 6.5% (3 of 46)
Lions' shooting percentage: 25.0% (2 of 8)

If Lindenwood could have mustered just 8 more shots....
