Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2016-2017

Good that it is"minor",but 6 weeks is almost to playoffs. Best of luck.

It could also be earlier than 6 weeks. I'm sure they are probably targeting a return against North Dakota, but obviously who knows how rehab will go. Again, the way she went down and reacted, it seemed to be much worse. It's all about being healthy at the end of the season.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2016-2017

The players are back at practice with games @ Lindenwood this upcoming weekend. I thought UW was going to be missing some Canadians this weekend (Nurse & Clark?)......I'll have to do some digging.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2016-2017

Clark and Nurse are playing for Canada in the 2017 Nations Cup, of which the US is not part of, interestingly enough. That will jiggle some lines. It will be neat to see how MJ formulates the line-up. I would assume he'll leave Wellhausen/Shaver/Roque alone and just plug Mauermann and Johnson into the holes in the top 2 lines. Or he could take the opportunity to go nuts and run all sorts of new combos out there.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2016-2017

Listened to the WI Hockey Hour......MJ was very encouraged by ARD's current condition. He won't commit to a timetable, but it sure seemed like sooner than later. Listening to his reaction to her injury as he watched on tv was a trip. He basically freaked out like we all did. Of course he called the GM of Team Canada right away whereas we just freaked out on message boards.

Should be an exciting second half of the season for the Badgers! Cece will get some valuable time in goal over the next couple of weeks it looks like. Hopefully the team stays hot and continues to put the puck in the net the way they did the last two weekends before the break!

Per team Twitter, looks like Mauermann goes to the top line and Johnson fills in on the 2nd line. Should be interesting.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2016-2017

The "facility issue" was a Carbon Monoxide leak that caused 1 Badger and everyone on Lindenwood's team to be checked out at the Hospital! (One of the minor details left out of the press release.)

Yeah, I figured it was some issue with the quality of the issue or something rather benign. No big deal...just some carbon monoxide poisoning requiring hospitalization. Fortunately they are back home in the friendly confines of LaBahn for the next three weeks.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2016-2017

WI State Journal's Todd Milewski tweets that "the badgers are now all OK and headed back to Madison".

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2016-2017

Was announced at the St. Lawrence - Mercyhurst game today at the Kettler IcePlex (Arlington, VA) that
Wisconsin
Minnesota-Mankato
Boston University
Northeastern

will be playing there over Thanksgiving 2017.

As someone from northern VA (i.e. where I'll be for Thanksgiving 2017), this is awesome.

So it's a WCHA/Hockey East challenge....thanks for the heads up, great news.

Too bad the 2nd Lindenwood game was cancelled, I was looking forward to seeing how those line combo's were going to work out in the 2nd game. Cogan played center for the first time and tallied 2 goals, looks like the Mauermann/Cogan/Pankowski line was working pretty good.

They also scored a PPG! It's a miracle.

What a crazy story. Really fortunate that no one was seriously hurt.

Still 5 days out and already 11,000 tickets sold for Fill the Bowl. I would say there is a good chance of breaking the old record of 13,000+. Caught a major break by not having to go up against the Packers. Would have killed actual attendance.

Agreed, good everyone seems to be OK. What a drag!

I wonder if the band will show up

Impressive! Begrudging respect to the Badger fans for their support of the team the last couple seasons.

So the Badgers were wondering why they were all so tired in the 3rd period.....Lindenwood was literally gassing them, but the deficit was just too much to overcome. I guess they didn't figure out how to only gas the UW locker room and bench. Making lite of a serious deal, I know.

I must say I am disappointed with the reserved seating for the fill the bowl. I have 3 tickets from the season tickets stuck on the glass in 109 (I prefer to be up higher), and 5 more right behind the UW goal 1st/3rd period, assuming they defend the same goal as the men. I'm disappointed my party won't be able to sit together. Basically the entire 1st and 2nd decks are full and the 3rd only has open seats in the corners.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2016-2017

I believe the women will be shooting at the opposite goal as the men 1st and 3rd. That's how it always was pre-labahn and I'm pretty sure that's how it was at the last fill the bowl.

I was shocked that the lower bowl was completely full when I bought tickets in November. However, I was pleasantly surprised that they didn't add in the usual processing fees for this game.

Awesome, my son will be thrilled if that is the case. I will be too since my seats are on the blue line on that end too.

Good point on the extra fees, there were none to my surprise when I ordered yesterday. Tip of the hat to UW on that one, though I think those fees are ridiculous to begin with. Now if the parking can be free....I wonder if the lot 91 people will get greedy and charge or not.
