Wisconsin Badgers 2014-2015

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2014-2015

Yeah, they did. The Gophers were also incredible, but the North Dakota effort was pathetic.

Lets just agree that NoDak was unable to sustain any effort, and you can continue to believe that was NoDak's fault and I can continue to believe that was the Gophers fault. Otherwise, it might sound like I'm not entitled to an opinion that differs from yours, and we know that is not true.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2014-2015

I had wanted to stop by here & offer this earlier but my account was screwed up & I had to start all over. Sorry for the delay.
We have been to Madison the last 2 years for the MN games and I am just blown away by the folks at Labahn. Seriously, the nicest bunch of folks I have ever run into in "enemy territory" one even offered us a ticket when the guy that had ours did not show up when we expected. There was not doubt I was not a Badger fan so it was too kind.

While it was obvious that they inflate the attendance I don't think the folks at Ridder are any louder and the joint was rocking both nights. It was great fun & would have been even if the right team had not won ;)

Best of luck against the Whouix - watch out for #4, a real goon, she even took a referee down on purpose while skating from the box to her bench.

the crowds at women's hockey are different than the men's game, that's for sure

when a player collides with a referee, I'm going to side with the player every time :o
LaShomb can be an aggressive player, but I doubt she intentionally did it
if she did, way to go! I enjoyed it :) (to be honest I didn't realize the ref was hit, I thought "what a klutz")

I am going to agree with Old Dave, I'm sure given the closeness of Friday, and the memory of what happened last year
the Gophers intended that lightening was not going to strike twice a year apart

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2014-2015

For the third week this season a Badger has won WCHA Rookie of the Week honors... Congratulations to Baylee Wellhausen who joins fellow Badger Freshmen Annie Pankowski and Emily Clark who had previously won this award! Great work Baylee!!

Thanks for sharing Wisconsin related information, I was beginning to wonder if this was the Badger thread. :)

Yeah, no kidding. I didn't need to see another post about how good Minnesota was and/or how bad North Dakota was last weekend. With that said, hopefully the Gophers are peaking early, because they are on quite a roll right now.

Wisconsin got the workman-like sweep in Bemidji which is all that matters coming off those tough losses against Minnesota.

Will the Badgers be missing any players against North Dakota because of Four Nations?

Yes this is the best freshman class of 2014-2015 for Forwards. But next couple of years will be tougher.

I think Turnbull and Clark both nights and Pankowski the 2nd.

Hopefully we'll be able to see some hockey this weekend, I recall last year 1 game was on TV and the other online.

I'd love to know how/see the BSU goals that were scored last weekend, I was a little shocked to see them post 3 Saturday.

I know these tournaments aren't going away and that Wisconsin isn't the only team affected, but it stinks that significant league games are being played with depleted line-ups. On Saturday, the Badgers will be down 30% of their offense (point-wise).

What will make it easier for UW is that UND will be w/o Krzyzaniak, who logs an awful lot of minutes on its blue line. So while you may miss some scoring talent, your remaining kids will have a formidable obstacle that they won't have to overcome.

Does anybody out there know if the Badger games against North Dakota will be video streamed?

They have been available for subscription in the past, and the quality is decent. The play-by-play is very good compared to most teams. Audio-only is free, but requires a free subscription.

She did not collide. She did a stick drag, she dragged her stick under his skates. Its a dirty trick against a play who is is fighting for position. Against a ref who is watching the action down ice it is scummy. She was behind him & he had no way to see it coming.

As far as I know, NoDak always has streams for women's hockey - they're one of the programs that always has access to the women's games, which is awesome.
I believe it's $9.95 for a month subscription, so that gets you both games, which isn't bad.

Just a reminder that I put up that list of all the live streams across the country, so you should be able to find games every weekend for all the programs. Let me know if you ever find something that's incorrect or needs updating.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2014-2015

exactly why I cheer her move, the refs don't call this crap so IMO, good to see one of the refs get it

BTW, I did say she can be an aggressive player didn't I? I didn't realize that's why the ref fell, maybe she's finally done something stupid enough the refs will be watching her from now on.

why do the refs allow players to do those things after the whistle? these sort of things happen all the time, the glove in the face, the push & shove, cross check...

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2014-2015

I noticed on the UW Womens hockey twitter that Fridays game will be on TV. It says it will be on Direct TV channel 608-1 and on cable. Does anyone else have info on this?
