Wisconsin Badgers 2013-2014 Season

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2013-2014 Season

I don't disagree, but given that she's been doing that for 14+ seasons without being significantly disciplined, I cannot see the league doing anything about it now. :(

I did not know that was her standard operating procedure. It's kind of ironic because I thought she was rather quiet at Saturday's game, so I wasn't expecting that on Sunday.

She yells so much you can see how red she gets from pretty much anywhere in the arena.

That is cool. Keep up the good work boyz. I am still torn as where to sit. I like sitting behind the bench or anywhere up high, the kids like sitting at the glass to your lower right. I always wonder if sitting by the glass in either spot mutes the cheering we do.

I imagine you'd still be pretty audible because of the gaps in the seamless glass setup.

Addition: At the Kohl Center, which has regular medal divider thingies rather than the seamless glass, there are a couple gaps down by our end (and probably at the far end, too). We like to use those to easily talk to the opposing players at short range.

That's awesome! Are you guys "kid friendly?" My 2 would have a hoot hanging with you guys for a game.

When it comes to cheers and jeers, we keep it clean. I can't make promises about things said quietly at conversational volume, but we're aware of our fellow fans around us.

By the way, after last weekend's results, the Badgers clinched home ice for the first round of the WCHA tournament.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2013-2014 Season

So I was curious what kind of seats were left for Fill the Bowl. I went online to start the purchase of two tickets and it showed they were general admission. I thought it was reserved seating for that game. Being a season ticket holder, I was able to get pretty good seats (with specific section/row/seat) for the game. Is the lower bowl reserved and everything else GA? Just don't want to show up too late and find myself up in the third deck corners.

Yes, the lower level is reserved, while the 200 and 300 levels are general admission.

That probably does help sales as you know that if you show up early enough, good seats in the 2nd and 3rd deck can be had. However, I do predict some confusion with this as some people will inevitably try to sit down low in reserved seating. Personally, I'll have no issue giving someone the heave-ho from my seat.

I imagine they'll concentrate the ushers in the lower level.

That's interesting to know. I have 12 tickets in the lower bowl, in 2 different spots. I'd rather be 2nd tier 1st row for the whole group. Would they make us sit in our reserved seats or could we just sit wherever we want in the 2nd tier? I would feel kinda bad leaving 2 holey areas in the bowl though.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2013-2014 Season

So are we going to see ARD in net this week?

Having zero inside information, I would guess Rigsby starts tomorrow and then maybe they play it by ear. Little doubt that Rigs gets both starts next weekend against the Gophers, but would figure that it's split against Mankato in two weeks.

At a $1/ticket, I would just buy 12 GA tickets and then just sell your reserved seats outside the arena. I bought too many tickets for the last Fill the Bowl and was able to move 10 tickets (at a buck each) in less than 5 minutes. A couple of parents were very relieved that they didn't have to wait in the ticket line with their kids. Was a win-win situation all the way around.....except for an Event Staff member who yelled at me for "scalping" tickets. Initially, I ignored him, but after continued harassment, had a very brief (but animated) conversation about how selling at face value isn't scalping.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2013-2014 Season

Just six days until Fill the Bowl! I have a reserved ticket in the lower bowl, which came with my season tickets. I intend on picking it up early in this week, but I will be going in with my student ID so I can be in the student section. Consequently, I have this extra ticket. If any of you want it, feel free to take it off my hands. Hopefully I'll find someone to give it to...if not, I'll tape it to the Kohl Center before getting in line.

Edit: I also know a second guy in the same situation.

Take it with you to Friday's game, and ask around. Somebody's bound to want it.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers 2013-2014 Season

Good news! My Fill the Bowl "old person" ticket is for section 111 row R seat 11. My friend who has the same situation? His is for 111 row R seat 10. So now I have a PAIR of reserved tickets in the lower bowl. Free, of course.
