Wisconsin Badger 2025 Offseason

Is that a sarcastic "Whoo hoo"? Every B!0 team except ND is ranked above them. Mankato is ranked above them as well.

They have a lot to prove after last year. My confidence is high Hastings and Company get it figured out this year.

Let's close this one and get an in-season thread going. I am not creative, so I look to the other Wisconsin fans.

Just being recognized by a media organization as a potential bubble team is an accomplishment. I think they will contend for the B26 title.

Season starts one month from today at Lindenwood. What do we think the plan at Goalie will be? I noticed in photos shared online today that Daniel Hauser looked to be participating in practice, with his shoulder surgery I believe a delayed start to the season was (may still be?) on the table.

So he didn't get the surgery done?

Didn’t we get that guy from Minnesota State?

Daniel Hauser is a Canadian who played last year as an overager for the Wenatchee Wild/Calgary Hitmen. He was pretty good all year long, but got hurt in April/May and was bad in the one game he started in the playoffs.

Eli Pulver is a sophomore transfer from Minnesota State. Seemingly a talented player, but only played in one game last year.

Along with Castro, the team has 3 goalies with a combined 2 games of NCAA experience.

I mean Pulver is probably the guy if Hauser needs to recover from surgery. Not sure that Castro will be seeing any major playing time.

If everyone is healthy - I would assume it is an open competition between Hauser and Pulver. My money would be on Hauser winning that battle. Him being a top 3 goalie in the WHL is pretty impressive. Defensive play is usually optional in Canadian major juniors.

The system is pretty goalie friendly. We just need someone to make the saves they should make. McClellan went from bad under Granato to best in the NCAAs under Hastings. Scarfone and Gramme were both bad at making simple saves last year.
