Sioux finish the 1st half sputtering and not just this week. Need another strong second half finish. Hopefully Genoway gets back for Chicago in Jan.

I'll pose the question Sioux fans...are the Sioux pretenders this year?

I know I'm not a Sioux fan (my wife is,) but I think this is the wrong time to ask that question. UND should have taken 2 points last night, if not for Gudmandson standing on his head in the 3rd.

From what I saw this weekend, the Sioux were a much faster team than the Badgers, they just couldn't finish when they needed to.

I may be in the minority for Badger fans, but I thought it was a very close series that could have easily been 2 points to each team.

Yes.
Pretenders? Of what? They've played some pretty tough teams, and have yet to lose by more than a goal. They were flying until some idiot SCSU player took out the best player on the team.
How about we delay calling them anything until we see how the 2nd half surge turns out.

I wouldn't be surprised if the WCHA switched the second checking from behind call from Hextall to Malone. Watching the replay, it's obvious that Hextall committed no penalty on the play. The only Sioux player who came close to checking from behind was Malone.

It might have been the right call, but it was assessed to the wrong player.
