Why do the WCHA refs look the other way in North Dakota games?

Re: Why do the WCHA refs look the other way in North Dakota games?

Obviously ALL teams have their dirty moments during the season. My point is North Dakota does it EVERY game on a regular basis. If you cant see that your either a North Dakota fan or not aware what the rules are? If I were Wisconsin or Minnesota I would not schedule North Dakota in my nonconference schedule in 2013. Without those two teams North Dakota becomes a Division II "who cares" program within three years.
Good thing you are not Minnesota or Wisconsin.

Just out of curiosity, what team is it that you cheer for, 80Miracle?

He's obviously a North Dakota fan. Why? He watches EVERY North Dakota game, plus his nickname is obviously for...the 1980 North Dakota "Miracle" National Championship squad. :p:D:D

Re: Why do the WCHA refs look the other way in North Dakota games?

Sounds like he has a reverse UND obsession.:D:p

Yeah, he's like my dad with the Vikings. He watches every game but does nothing but complain about the team. Deep down though, he would love nothing more than to see them win it all. :p:D:D

I don't know how anyone could watch every Viking game and NOT complain about them. Much like the Fighting ______ after all. :D

If only the Vikings had half the success (I'd quickly take 1/7th of the success) that North Dakota has had...

It's ridiculous that Blood wasn't given a DQ and the game suspension that goes with it. Basically, as far as the game, league and NCAA go, he got nothing other than 12:00 added to his penalty total. If the WCHA doesn't suspend him, they are foolish. Why bend over for a team that's leaving the league anyway. The CCHA does it with Michigan (Shawn Hunwick kicks a player, punches him in the face with the blocker, kicks a helmet down the rink and throws a stick, nearly hitting a linesman and gets nothing other than 5 and a misconduct.) That being said, I give Dave Hakstol credit for stripping the "A" from his jersey. If it happens in the course of play, you might say its part of the game. But in the handshake line is utterly absurd.

You wouldn't?! Well I guess it's a good thing you work for hourly wages and aren't in charge of making decisions beyond where to park the next pallet, let the adults do the thinking and stick to capturing buckets of steam. Hee-haw donkey, hee-haw.

Don't UMTC and UND do the handshake Wrestelmania every other year? Was Bloods' move cheap? Sure, but come on.

And Hunwick is just angry because he choked in the finals.

The elbow drop off the boards that "Macho Man" Rastislav Spirko threw down a number of years ago is still one of my favorite UND-UM highlights.

Where's the cheap shot? Where's the violence?

Agreed, if that team had had Hak at the helm, Neal would have received an elbow to the back of his head after scoring the goal! The Whiox were wussies back then!

No way, he'd have his face smashed into the glass like it was a turnbuckle.

But wouldn't the smashing be done with the elbow to the back of the head? Do I get half-credit?

No, that's why I added the turnbuckle for an example. Broten would've been grabbed by the back of the head and had his face repeatedly smashed into the glass until he looked like Troy Jutting.
