Some miscommunication at times-one bad giveaway but we survived. All tied after one-need to get that first one though.

Period ends. Not our best this season. Need to regroup and come out with a little more purpose in the second period.
Too many defensive zone giveaways.

With this SLU offense-the defensemen for us just cannot hesitate at all-move the puck or shoot it out fast-their forwards come in quickly and they have a trailer at the blue line just waiting. Some chances both ways and considering we took 2 penalties to their one-have to be satisfied with the score at least.

A couple of dumb penalties in the offensive zone, too. SLU survived the first, we'll see if we have another dreaded second vs. them.

Can't comment on the refs yet-but these linesmen need some education about icing calls.
