Who is in your Deadpool for Solo: Infinity War

Re: Who is in your Deadpool for Solo: Infinity War

Wanted:
Redonkulous over-the-top action movie where a guy joins a group of assassins that has been around for centuries. Bizarrely entertaining.

Pickpockets:
A couple of nickle-and-dimer pickpockets gets spotted by a master, and they learn his ways. It's a decent watch.

American Heist:
Paint-by-the-numbers movie, where an ex-con who has gone straight is lured back into one more caper that his just-released-from-prison brother is into. Predictable.

Small Town Crime:
A defamed alcoholic ex-cop finds an almost dead woman in the desert, decides to try and find her killer. Pretty standard crime thriller, doesn't sugar-coat the main character, and has some dark humor lines in there. Better than AH, though.

Rimetti a noi i nostri debiti (Forgive Us Our Debts), Netflix streaming

A man struggling under the crushing weight of debt must work as a tax collector to pay off his creditors.

Very solid self-discovery movie. Italian with subtitles. A red herring or two thrown in there, and of course a twist at the end. If you can handle subtitles, go for it.

Dunkirk

I shut 'er down after about 45 minutes in (1:45 movie). Bored the hell out of me, I don't know why. It just did. I really don't know what to say other than that.

Well, I' ll say this. It's definitely the most depressing war drama made in my lifetime, I think. It wasn't exactly a high point for the Allies during WW2.

It's not Nolan's best movie though.

Anyone know if someone's tried making a movie about the Battle of the Bulge?

I liked it, but the out of order timeline made no sense. It's a historical movie, just follow the events in order.

You’re all insane. Dunkirk was brilliant.

It’s a Nolan movie. You should have known that going. In. ;)

Didn’t band of brothers have a good chunk about the Bulge?

They tried. To the best of my knowledge nobody has made a competent one, yet.

There was nothing specifically bad about it, and that what is gnawing at me. I just couldn't get into it.

The Death of Stalin

Black comedy about the power struggle within the upper echelons of Soviet politics after Stalin kicks the bucket. It had a good ensemble cast, and overall I enjoyed it.

That's the weird-arse one that was really out there in presentation, correct? I'm interested in that one, if so.

Yes, the one with Buscemi as Khrushchev. It's supposed to be a horror-satire.

And no one even tries to fake a Russian accent either, thank goodness.

Yep, that's the one. Lots of people didn't know what to exactly make of it, which made me curious.
