Name your choices for Saturday and discuss topics of general interest for the quarterfinals for D-I teams.

My unofficial (because counting is not something I do well) records versus the rest of the NCAA field:
Wisconsin (7-2)
Minnesota (2-3)
Northeastern (4-2-1)
Clarkson (6-2-1)
Boston College (3-3)
Cornell (4-3-1)
Princeton (2-5-2)
Syracuse (0-8-1)

Seems like we're due for an upset somewhere, so I'll say an all WCHA/ECHC FF.

You really can't go wrong with bacon...Everyone wins with bacon.

You can go wrong with bacon, it depends in the type/brand you buy. After you eat Nueske's Applewood (or Cherry) smoked bacon, all else is just a waste of calories. And their smoked duck breast will blow your mind!

I have an appointment with a cardiologist tomorrow morning (really); I'll tell her you said so.

Turkey bacon for you then sir. I do recommend the Oscar Meyer turkey bacon if you have to stay away from pork. Which would be sad.

(I'm actually not all that big a fan of bacon. Brats, on the other hand...)

Speaking of brats...The best I have ever had, we got at a meat market in Racine, Wisconsin. Can't remember the name of it and it's been a few years ago but maybe a Wisconsinite knows what I'm talking about. We also visited O&H bakery and had the best Kringle I have ever tasted as well.

Re: Which four women's D-I teams advance to the FF in Hamden?

I did not think Clarkson would beat Colgate or Cornell so I am not gonna jinks them so I will pick BC, and while I'm at it I think I will see if I can continue my losing streak by picking Minny and Northeastern so we can have 3 ECAC teams in Hamden. ;)
PS: Syracuse has no chance.

Not very imaginative on my part, but I really do think the 4 home teams will advance...

Nice job except Clarkson did not dominate Cornell. Watch the game. Cornell I think had more quality chances to score than Clarkson but could only get one puck passed Kassidy Sauve who was just great in the nets. Clarkson (Gable/ Giguere) took advantage of 2 scoring opportunities in period 2 and buried those and Shelton (D) scored on a 2 on 1 on a perfect pass from Mariani when Cornell dman made an error at the blue line. You should watch the first goal and the play Giguere made to set up the goal and the second goal was just a snipe by Gabel.

a little deceptive since all of MN games were against WI
which also makes WI look even better when you take those games away

I'm going with the home team for each
but the most likely upset is BC, followed by Cornell, followed by Princeton, and then Syracuse
by the time they actually announce the PK winner, Pankowski might have more points than Gabel
