I almost won $4, which would've meant a $2 profit. Guess I'll hope no one else got it and buy another Wednesday.

Word is that no winning tickets were sold (some states haven't finished reporting sales yet). Wednesday's drawing is estimated to be a $1.3 Billion jackpot, with an approximate payout of $900 Million lump-sum to the winner.

Odds of winning are 1:292 million.... So why doesn't Bill Gates pull a C.M. Burns and buy one each of the 292 million number combos? You should still be some $300 million in the black, no?

There have been articles about this plan in the past. The biggest obstacle is the time needed to buy 292 million tickets.

If multiple players win and split the jackpot, you could still end up in the red.

Got one powerball on one draw, and a 16 on another draw. So no GVSU hockey just yet. :(

Does anybody else here think that the prize for matching one number and the powerball be a little more than 4 bucks? They should bump that up to 5 bucks. That and maybe have the matching of 2 regular numbers be worth like a buck or something?

I did see a tweet RT'd 5k times by some no name Memphis alum troll. I've yet to see anything official.

Wasn't in on this one, hard to get to a store when I'm on this floating hunk of steel.

Right, you would have to just start printing away like mad the first thing tomorrow morning when they announce that there is no winner. And you would also probably have to program a couple of machines to print out different sections of the possible combinations. Heck, just for all of the combinations of numbers for a power ball of 01, that's about 11.2 million right there. I would think that there's a cap to the number of draws you would be allowed to put on just one ticket, so you would have that limiting your speed, along with somebody going along and making sure you have enough of the official Lotto paper on site to physically print that many tickets.

Would have to think that there's some combo party/bait store somewhere along the rivers where you could tie up for a half hour and hike up to the counter. at least along some of your routes.

Powerball.com now saying Wednesday's drawings for an estimated 1.3 billion with a cash value of 806 million.

The frenzy for tickets will drive that to 1.5/1.0 easily.

I might be able to work something out for Weds drawing, but not sure. It's much tougher than you would think, atleast concerning the places we go.

Edit: my idea is a no go. Alabama is one of 6 states that doesn't participate. Might have to try working something out here in LA today.

crazy, whoever wins is going to go thru some serious changes. I can't see it working out to well for most people. Paranoia come to mind, everyone wants a piece.
