Aside from the mathematics failure, this would not "cure" poverty. It would just inflate the price of everything in every store in the country and put us right back where we started.

Got two tickets today, so I'm now $6 deep into this cycle. I've had much more than $6 of enjoyment talking about things to spend winnings on, so I'm not going to look at it as wasted cash. I've definitely spent $6 on worse things.

No idea if it's legit or not, but Facebook has been showing a ticket from Saturday that was one number off for all six numbers.... I honestly can't say how I'd react to that...
