What's with all of the live stream span threads?

Seems like there has been a big rash of them lately.

I thought it was harder to join this board than what it appears.

Spammers are constantly developing ways to get around systems like Captcha, which are designed to block spammers from setting up accounts on sites like this.

Is there a reason why the mods are not deleting them?

This is not a complaint; I wondered whether it's part of the process where you try to track down the culprit.

For example our IT always tells us that if we see weird behavior we should disconnect from the internet but not power down and not delete anything.

It's a part-time gig these days, and the mods are only going to address them if the threads or spam bots are being reported. This place isn't as actively patrolled now as it has been in the past.
