What the Fark???

Re: What the Fark???

Seems like every week, cops are busting a meth lab. And really, what's the point? Are state lawmakers hoping this drops us to 7th?

What this is all boiling down to (if you'll pardon the unintended pun), is ephedrine and pseudoephedrine cold meds becoming Rx-only. I predict within the next decade or two, there will be action at the federal level to move them up to Schedule IV or V. Then, the cookers will start importing from Mexico. ;)

Yeah, but if they're at least importing from Mexico, its going to raise the prices up on Meth, make it a little less attractive for kids to get messed up with it. Hell, another decade and its pretty likely we could be allowed to grow your own Mary Jane Patch.

Interesting look at the maps over the past 8-10 years here

Note that the western states have been on a downward trend for years, while the Ohio, Missouri, and Tennessee Valleys still have a significant problem. Answer? Figure out what they did out west, and adapt it to work here.

While they're still OTC here in MN, you have to show a valid state ID that gets swiped when purchasing, which is then tracked by a DB for frequency of purchase for these chemicals.
