Re: What the Fark 4: It's not unusual to be strange anymore
I have a black co-worker who is balls deep in Trump. Last winter he spray-painted his van with "ALL LIVES MATTER!!!"
He's an ex-jarhead who has spent his whole life around southern military whites. Total Stockholm Syndrome. His take on police violence, direct quote, is "if you get messed up by a cop you had to have been asking for it. Cops don't ever hassle you unless they know you're guilty. Maybe not enough for a judge, but guilty."
He hates Hillary but he loves Bill Clinton and thinks Hillary is "twisted" because "Bill had to step out on her and she knows it's her own fault."
He's a really fun guy.
Also, as if it needed to be said, he's a fundy and he thinks Loving was decided wrong and God doesn't want the races to mix. He goes to McLean Bible which is a Jews for Jesus megachurch and I'm fairly sure a tax scam. They make you sign a loyalty oath to become a "member in good standing" and their values include never mentioning sin in a sermon because "that's divisive."
If you live long enough you see a lot of interesting permutations.
Well, this afternoon I finally met the sort of mythical unicorn that I didn't think existed outside of overpaid, token Fox News/alt-Reich pundits.
A black Trump voter was my Uber driver from my hotel to O'Hare.
