It's official, I am retiring as the Commish for the Western Region Pick'em...
It was a blast while it lasted. Time for someone else to take over.
Any volunteers??

Actually, Vermont (the center of Eastern Hockey) was not one of the original 13 Colonies, it was the first new state to be admitted to Union. It was originally an independent Republic.

Prior to being an independent republic from 1777 to 1791, it was disputed between New Hampshire and New York - I believe neither wanted anything to do with it:p ;)

Serioously, this Easterner learned a lot about the West from following the threads which emanate from the pick 'em threads. Thanks, Pete, for alll your work and wisdom. Good luck to your successor. :cool:
