Contrary to other posts in this thread, Motzko must also think having only twelve healthy forwards leaves the team too thin. I think Hatten quoted the Coach as describing it as "dangerous." Welcome aboard Joe Rehkamp.
Rehkamp looks like a solid addition who should stick long term with the team. Hopefully he has a better scoring touch than Ryan Peckskamp.

Hope St. Cloud can have the same success they had exactly one year ago when they defeated Cornell and Miami to win the Florida College Hockey Classic and brought home the Ned Harkness Cup. (Without the post-tournament hi-jinks of course.) Maybe Nic Dowd will have another big series this week as well.
Wonder if the 2010 St. Cloud State team has its name on the banner hanging in the Germain Arena in Estero, Florida?

Good game last night. I was impressed with the Broncos speed and discipline. It's easy to see they are well coached team.
Huskies got lucky on their first PP goal. WMU had a D-man blow a tire in high slot and Dowd walked right in for the backhand. Festler's game tying goal hit the Bronco's goalie high on the shoulder and fluttered in.
WMU's second goal was amazing. Faragher covered the post well, and Berschbach found a way to snipe it top left corner from a sharp angle. Impressive goal.
Both teams had a few quality scoring chances that wouldn't go. Tonight's game should be intense.
Attendance was so-so. I would expect to see more youth players in the rink with the free admittance. I think they need to be more aggressive and contact youth programs directly rather than just posting on the schools website and calling it good. New AD will be refreshing for this school.

Adding the player makes sense, but your comment about needing extra time didn't...... He played the same line up last night minus Gravel. Man how did he come up with that genius line up.

Someone posted on Twitter Last night that the Arena was pretty empty. What's up with that? I know the Wild were playing but put it on the DVR and go to the game. WMU is going to be a future rival. I also saw that SCSU has DU and SCSU Tickets 40.00 for four tickets.

They have not had many home games this year with this weird schedule and with the students being gone it was empty. If I had to guess there were 200 students tops last night and they student section hold 1,500. The team hasn't been drawing good the last year and a half. I am sure the economy plays into it, but it is also the fact the team hasn't been good either. If they win the people will show up.

They had good ideas on the 4 for $40 pack and youth hockey nights. Too bad they can't execute. They just post these promos on their website and call it good. They need to actively pursue their target market and contact them directly.
Hopefully with the new AD coming in they can cut a lot of the dead weight in the Athletic Office and replace them with some performers. I don't think Tracy Dill or John Lewis could tell you what it is that they actually do for the university. The status quo is unacceptable.
