West Regional: North Dakota, Michigan Tech, St. Cloud State, Quinnipiac

Re: West Regional: North Dakota, Michigan Tech, St. Cloud State, Quinnipiac

Today's ESPN3 game should be no problem to watch (I think, could be wrong), but for ESPNU games ESPNU needs to be part of your cable/satellite package.

That it is. :)

Kossila, Daly, and Prochno all going to be in the lineup according to Motzko pregame presser...good news for Cloud. He doesn't think that Michigan Tech is going to take any penalties, but if they do, Kossila will be on the first line power play unit.

When asked if they are in good hands with Charlie Lindgren, Bob smirked and said "We are in great hands with Charlie Lindgren, we are excited to let him go wild this tournament"

It was a short interview, but Motzko seemed positive, hopefully that translates onto the ice

Yikes... bad first period, yet if Patty could have lifted that backhanded shot it woulda been 1-1. Charlie's kept them in it, gotta have a better 40 (or more) minutes here on out

Re: West Regional: North Dakota, Michigan Tech, St. Cloud State, Quinnipiac

Tech dominated the 1st period, but not enough end product. Phillips stole a couple right at the death that could have negated all that good work.

Brodzinski tested that right knee in a break. He didn't look like a guy who's coming back.

Re: West Regional: North Dakota, Michigan Tech, St. Cloud State, Quinnipiac

Tech looks like a team possessed right now, absolutely dominating Cloud, with an injury like Brodzinski had, if we don't see him back this game, we wont see him again in a Husky jersey...he won't risk another injury his senior year that would cost him. Here's a cheer to SCSU Euro, I got a glimpse of him last weekend at the NCHC tourney, but I was in no shape to carry on a conversation, heading to happy hour downtown, I will have beers for us both.

You think you were in no shape to carry on a conversation. Didn't stop me from talking to Marty Mjelleli, David Eddy, Ryan Walters' dad... :D

Have a couple for me, I can't really drink 'cuz I've gotta work at 11... but one won't kill me, right? :)

SCSU played a bad period and an ok period... if they could finish this game like they played Saturday in Omaha or Friday in Minneapolis, we've got a date with the no-namers

These officials are horse Sh** of the highest order. Absolutely embarrassing.

That embellishment call was garbage and I was unaware that kicking the goalie's glove off the puck was a legal play, but we move on.

Embellishment call was questionable but the goalie CLEARLY did not have the puck covered and was out of the blue paint.

Maybe, I'd have to see the replay again.

Can't miss 2 empty net shots and feel good. But I doubt Sweeney's was icing. Soooo many bad calls both ways.

Re: West Regional: North Dakota, Michigan Tech, St. Cloud State, Quinnipiac

Surprised that the announcer questioned the embellishment. It seemed pretty clear to me that the Tech guy was holding on to the opponent's stick to get the hooking call. And the puck was not covered up by the goalie, according to a good angle showed on TV. Tech has itself to blame for going to OT--they should have iced it with the empty-netter, or at least not gotten the icing call. Tech was playing better than SC at the end of the game, we'll see if they can carry that into OT. Second good game of the day, fun tournament so far.
