I have a metric **** ton of respect for Nic Dowd, just like Jack Connolly two years ago.

I heard Nic started crying in his postgame presser. Did he just get caught up in the emotion?

Been looking for video of the post-game press conference. Usually USCHO posts them in the game recap, but this time it's absent.

Anyone have a link to the full Gopher or SCSU Q&A?

“@ChrisDilks: For everyone asking, I don't think there's video of Dowd's presser(shouldn't be out of respect to him), and you don't want to see it.”

A. It isn't like they can't edit that part out.
B. How is it disrespectful to Dowd to show him crying? Is getting emotional at the end of your college career something to be ashamed of? Pretty sure Leblanc was crying in the news conference after his last game and they posted that video.

I agree. I'm mostly interested in seeing Motzko and Lucia anyway.

I felt horrible for Dowd & SCSU players when I heard the press conference on the MN postgame and completely agree with Motzko in the need to give them more time after the game. That being said, while it's never easy to have your season and/or career end there is nothing for Dowd or the Huskies to be ashamed of, they played hard and had a fanstastic season.

/done being nice to jbsu.... ;)

The Huskies were a credit to SCSU this season. Nothing that happened last night changed that at all. Repeating as conference champions is a tremendous accomplishment. Coach Motzko and the team behaved with class last night and all season long.

When you have your season ended by the team that you consider your biggest rival, so you're already a bit emotional at the season being ended, then 10 minutes later be expected to show up to talk to the press and get inundated with questions about how hard it was to play against the Gophers, and how you couldn't get past the Gophers' defense, and how good the Gophers played that night (seriously, it was a string of about 5 questions about how great the Gophers were in the game)... yeah, he got choked up enough that he couldn't answer. Motzko was completely correct that expecting players from the losing team to show up that fast if $#%#$!@(%#@$%* bush-league by the NCAA.

As GE mentioned, Dowd (and the rest of the team) have nothing to be ashamed of. They had a great overall season and ran into a steamroller in the Regional Championship.

Congrats to the Gophers on the win and return to the Frozen Four. They completely outplayed the Huskies from beginning to end. Too much speed and size. Needed to have a few mistakes and lucky bounces to have a shot and that just didn't happen. They won just about every battle getting to loose pucks. Again, dominated. Likely a bit worn out from the OT game the night before but I really don't think it would have mattered that much. Gophers were determined and they got it done. Going to be a real tough out the rest of the way. Will definitely be watching the matchup with UND.

Going to miss Dowd being in a Huskies uniform as well as several of the other seniors. Some good talent coming back but Dowd and a few others will be hard to replace.

Congrats to SCSU on having a good season. Lots to be proud about what they accomplished the past few seasons.

Back at you guys. Lots of respect for your team and the direction your program is headed. Won't be long before you guys win the big one IMO.
