To be fair though, a rematch after we played a pretty good game the first time around this season would be a fitting ending for one of these team's seasons. Have SCSU and MN ever been at the same regional before? I don't recall that happening since we went to just 4 teams at a regional, and honestly don't ever recall it happening.

SCSU lost to Michigan in 2002. This was the last year of eight team single site regional playoffs. The Gophers were there too, but played in the other bracket. That meant even if both teams won out there, they wouldn't have played until the Frozen Four.

Has the "participated in the 2014 West Regional" banner been hung in the concrete center yet?

I'm sure that will be (or was) a proud moment for Jan fans.

I figure the "West Regional Champion" banner would go up in October.

They were 6 team brackets, not 8. There was only 12 in the NCAA Tourney at that time. Top 2 Teams in each regional got Byes.

I give Minnesota a 35% chance of getting to the Frozen Four. It took a lot of Simple Math to get there.

Yup. Thanks for the correction. The important numbers part of the equation was crowded out of my aging feeble mind because that was the infamous Year of the Molly when we remember the Huskie getting an old-time hockey lesson from the ugly hats...hilarity ensued. :D

I agree with your point. The Gophers' recent play just doesn't have me bubbling with confidence though.

I'll always have tArrogance, just not really feeling like trashtalking with the way the Gophers have been playing. I'm lame, I know. Lol!:o;)

Thanks. But better to have issues localized to #4 seeds rather than NCAA tournament games as a whole.

Minnesota: 2
