Weekend Scores 11/11 & 11/12

Re: Weekend Scores 11/11 & 11/12

Just saw that this evening's Harvard-Princeton game will be streamed on ESPN3 at 6PM ET.

Thanks D2D!

Also, any Gopher fans planning on buying a month of UND Insider to watch the Gopher games against UND next weekend could buy a week early if they wanted to see any of UMD-UND tomorrow and Sunday.

UND Insider is $8.95 for 24 hour pass, $9.95 for a month. You may be able to squeeze both Gopher games in under the 24 hour deal :D

Penn State takes game one vs. Lindenwood, 3-2.

Lindenwood is off to a very poor start (0-9-0, 0-3-0). Are they going backwards this year instead of forwards? Their games vs RIT should be interesting with both programs really struggling so far this season.

I watched them play a few weeks ago and they were going backwards and forwards much like the other team!

Except the other team was obviously doing it better because they beat Lindenwood. Six shutout losses so far....they are definitely doing worse than last year. Hard to be competitive when you can't score a goal. This is not the direction they need to be going.

Harvard is leading Princeton 1-0 after two periods. Princeton has had five power play opportunities but has been unable to cash in.

All knotted up at 1-1 with teams now headed to OT...

Clarkson 5 Union 1.

Game was pretty much dominated by Clarkson but I must say Union is vastly improved over last year. Their power play especially actually looked like a Div I pp.

Re: Weekend Scores 11/11 & 11/12

Took the road trip to Saint Cloud. Best part of the trip was I got to wear my bright red Team Canada #14 sweater.
OSU gave up a bunch of odd man rushes in the first period. It looked to me that the D was not adjusting for the large surface & were often pinched in and too deep and the Huskeys took advantage of that. They still couldn't finish, either because OSU recovered or SCSU couldn't shoot. It looked to me like OSU cleaned that up & there were few odd man after the first period. Final was 4-1 SCSU so they got the split. Only one penalty called and that was a good indication of how the game was played. Both teams played well & they look evenly matched but both have a way to go.

Funniest thing I saw was a linesman who was really struggling. Twice they raise their arm on the delayed offside & then yelled clear when the player who was originally offside cleared but a second play had entered the zone. The same official started to signal delayed offside when OSU passed the puck back into their own zone, realize what they were doing & sheepishly lower their arm.
