Wednesday Women

In case you might have missed it, Nicole Haase and Arlan Marttila do a great job in summing up the first half and analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of all 40 D1 teams.

Just read this, thanks for bringing this to everyone's attention. I like the effort and analysis.

Ditto, especially since we don't seem to be getting the weekly reminders on the forum this year.

p.s. How large a staff do you suppose these two have?

Staff?
Uh, that would be me, myself and I.

Bless Arlan for agreeing to keep doing WW, since it's really great to have another take on things and he knows WAY more than I do. But everything else DI women on the site comes from me.

I don't remember reminder posts, but I'm happy to (try to) do them if someone can tell me what they'd like to see/what they should look like.

But generally the posting schedule looks like this - I've got recaps scheduled to run around 8 am on Monday, WW to run every other week around 9 am Wednesday, a column with a publishing time that varies on Thursday and picks scheduled to run first thing on Friday mornings.

I tend to lurk the boards more than post because I'm always about three days behind the discussion. But you can always email me at nicole.haase@uscho.com or send me something on Twitter.

Ditto. Ditto. Ditto. It's nice to have the opportunity to celebrate this unsung mainstay of the USCHO site, keeping most of us happily tethered to reality. And this week's intern shows promise. Keep your eyes on him.

Last Wednesday Women of the year, all about the NCAA tourney.
Don’t want to detract from the other thread but will say lots of great stuff in here as always.

Northeastern is the most interesting of the top seeds. I knew they didn't get much competition in Hockey Least but I was not aware that they did not have a game against any team in the tournament field. They have enough talent on that team to compete for the championship so it will be interesting to see how they respond, especially if they get a rematch with Wisconsin, who themselves are not as good as they were last year but have had quite a few games with tournament opponents.

Thank you to ARM and NHM (and TTT for his cameo) for their contirbutions to the Wednesday Women column. Always good stuff to read.
