Yep, we dropped to 12th in the Pairwise tonight. Lose another, and we probably are out of the NCAA again.

I agree! On a lot of accounts. If we lose Sunday we don't make it. And there are many seats to be had. You can buy a ticket and sit ANYWHERE you want in this place. WIN WIN WIN WIN. more wins in the corners, more face off wins, more completed passes. I am sure Williams would want that second 5 hole goal back but it was a bad give away in the neutral zone that started it and there have been too many of them in the past couple of games. UNO has done a good job of not allowing MSU to get any good movement through the middle and that is what is killing the offense. The 1 goal tonight was a bad give away by them and that is it. We need to create more chances.

As I've read into this more tonight, it sounds like with a loss tomorrow we drop no lower than 13. A win more than likely punches the ticket to NCAAs.

Where the bleep is Red Cows? I feel like he owes us after the "we should be favored for the MacNaughton" stuff he posted. Happy to see UNO win one. They had a good team (offensively at least)

Ditto. I had us moving up to 10th with a W and 13th with a L. Kind of strange how the first two games played out. I think Red Mavs played better Friday and the Purple Mavs played better Sat night. However the better team lost both nights IMHO...

I believe that is correct. I think we need a lot of things to happen to not get to the NCAA.

Nevertheless, lets take care of business ourselves (as we did against North Dakota). We win, we play next week. I think playing games is better than practicing, waiting, and hoping for other teams to win or lose.

It would be better to punch our own ticket than to get in through the back door.

In Minneapolis for the day to see my uncle and staring at his computer for a few, getting ready to drive back to Mankato, before heading back to Omaha in the morning.

If we can stay out of the penalty box and kill the penalties we do get, we might just pull this off. Even if Mankato loses tonight I think they are probably in, anyway. We got a goal out of our 4th line last night. Trying to win our first road playoff series since the very first one we ever played in--at Northern Michigan in 2000. That was the lead-up to UNO making it to the CCHA final that season (our first season in the conference)--all the while sporting a losing record.

Definitely not the Mavs team we have seen all season! Was very disappointed in some of the non calls both ways but specifically on Margonari break away and then the play immediately following late in the 3rd. I understand letting them play but make the obvious calls!

I'm OK with not calling a lot of penalties, as long as both teams get treated equally. That being said, I think Margonari's break away definitely deserved to be called.

But, we need to overcome non calls by playing the game we are capable of. I don't want to blame the officials. We should be glad we don't have Shepherd, Hunt etc. this weekend. Shepherd, Hunt etc. think that the fans pay to see them officiate.

Case in point with the MacWilliam call in ND on Friday. Threw him out thinking it was a hit to the head.

While a loss would be bad for Mankato, it probably wouldn't keep them out of the NCAA Tournament.

And the wife agreed to go to the NCAA no matter where we play.

She painted her nails purple for tonight's game. I'm going to give her credit for the win.
