WCHA Playoffs 2015: MacNaughton Quest Determined

Re: WCHA Playoffs 2015: MacNaughton Quest Determined

All that and he only got second star. Apparently the first star is sponsored and they vetoed it.

HE STOPPED 76 OF 77 SHOTS AGAINST THE HIGHEST SCORING OFFENSE IN THE NCAA. PAY THAT MAN HIS MONEY.

And yet, the most amazing part of that post is still that Michigan Tech has the highest scoring offense in the NCAA.

Dirty, dirty play by UAH's Saulnier. He should be sitting out tomorrow night. League needs to look at it.

I saw it immediately and knew three things:

1. That was a CFB 5+GM.
2. That was his third game misconduct on the season.
3. The NCAA will automatically suspend him one game based on that per Rule 22.2.

That game was completely unexpected, unbelievably appreciated, and ... ****.

Carmine Guerriero.

Crushing loss for UAH. Expect Tech to blow them out tomorrow.

Tech will have a great advantage in being able to use a fuller roster than UAH, and that's before you consider that UAH is already playing a LD at LW.

Also: the league should suspend Saulnier above and beyond what the NCAA does. He should be a very good player for us, but he is reckless.

I know moral victories aren't real victories, but after last year, and after 16-1, that was some fine work, Chargers!

Couldn't agree more, and I'm not writing them off yet. They proved tonight that coming in overconfident tomorrow would be a mistake for Tech.

Really an impressive defensive game, I was worn out just from watching it and the players had to be near collapse but the effort level was unbelievable all around. I congratulated Guerrero and the UAH skaters as they left the ice, on a great game. I'll do anything to see Tech win, but that epic losing effort still got to me. geezer IV slept through the 2nd period (good choice) and geezer III missed the 6th period and was so sound asleep he snored through the celebration and halfway through the parking lot. What a night. Lots of gutsy effort out there. Here's to the depth of roster that will allow Tech to plug in 4 or 6 good players fresh tomorrow.

The "16-1" on the White Board every day sure seemed to work...Nice work UAH!

Glad Tech pulled in out in the end. That is one tough game to lose.

Sounds like our crew. We had to figure out which 2 to carry and which to wake up. Actually my son watched those last two periods as closely as I've ever seen. I don't know if he was cheering for Tech so much as trying to figure out what that UAH goalie was doing that he could add to his game.

The only series that didn't go chalk was Bemidji/Ferris. We had two 3OT games and a third one to go over 60:00. There was only one major blowout. This wasn't a bad weekend for the league.

NMU had the lead late in the game but couldn't hold it and kevin Gordon tweeted how un sportsmanlike things had gotten. Not that Kevn Gordon is god or anything. Final 5 should be real good. Let's hope for some good attendance.

Kevin Gordon is far from God, but he was right. We were lucky that nobody was hurt. I understand the frustration but it was getting brutal with some obvious intents to injure. To their credit, after the game Walt Kyle and several upper class-men apologized to Bergeron.

?
BG went ahead for good at 14:17 of the second.
NMU took 41 PIMs in the last 5 mins. of the game, including a misconduct, game misconduct, and disqualification.
and what does K. Gordon have to do with it?
