gochiefs, MavHockey14, and mikeeddy19 were the week 16 tri-winners posting 22 points each. SweeneyHawksHockey had an unusually challenged week and finds that Bronco Hockey Fan has retaken the lead in the standings and GIWAN now leads in the race for the Mason Cup by .001 percentage points. Five weeks remain in the season.

Reminder that the top 32 make the playoffs. To boost everyone's chances, the bonus is here to stay through the rest of the regular season.

And I've overcome USCHO's security obstacles...we are back in the graphics business in time for the playoffs.

Mavsfan19 had a killer week capturing 26 out of a possible 28 points including being the only player to correctly predict the outcome of all 6 games. This score moved Mavsfan19 from being a playoff outsider last week (rank 36/12 points out) to a 31 seed. Bronco Hockey Fan holds on to first place, however, there is now a 3-way tie for the Mason Cup between giwan, SweeneyHawksHockey, and TalonsUpPuckDown.

As for the bonus, there were 16 visitor goals, 20 home goals, and 2 one-goal games. <3_Blizzard and gochiefs led the way with 9 bonus points each. Everyone picked up at least 1 bonus point this week except for one player.

First, I forgot to post Hatch_man's 8 bonus points for last week; this week's standings reflect the update.

Bronco Hockey Fan not only tightens that grip on the McNaughton Cup by winning week 18 with a score of 26 points (the lead is now up to 19 points) but also joins giwan, SweeneyHawksHockey , and TalonsUpPuckDown in what is now a 4-way tie for the Mason Cup. Shout out to Deejpuck and SectionP who also had big 25 point weeks.

LakerDude correctly picked 95 shots-on-goal in this weekend's Governor's Cup.

BG is currently the best defensive team in the country. When they get rolling offensively, they are hard to beat. The power play has been a struggle of late. Last night they had two, including two of the four first period goals.

I laughed at your comment as it reminds me of a similar quote from Derek Smalls which also describes this team:

BGSURICK was the week 19 winner posting 19 points. I like the symmetry. The talk of the Pick 'Em thread was the massive 252 penalty minutes this weekend, 126 of which happened in the War Memorial Arena (Slater Family Ice Arena) between the Charlestown Chiefs (BGSU) and the Syracuse Bulldogs (UA). Only one player, cajunuahfan, picked up bonus points this week and those 4 points may secure his ticket to the playoffs. Speaking of playoffs, With 2 weeks remaining only 9 points separate the 31 and 34 ranked players (top 32 make the playoffs). Not to state the obvious, but the key the key to making the playoffs is getting your picks in for the week. At the other end of the standings, Bronco Hockey Fan's lead continues to grow week-by-week. While no one is willing to concede the McNaughton Cup just yet, a 21-point lead appears insurmountable. With the McNaughton all but decided, it's the race for the Mason Cup that's captured the attention of the FloSports WCHA beat writers. With 2 weeks left, the Mason Cup standings are as follows:

Lots of updates, let’s get to it. GIWAN was the week 20 winner posting 28 points and rode this week’s victory into sole possession of first place in the race for the Mason Cup by .001 percentage points over Bronco Hockey Fan and TalonsUpPuckDown and .005 percentage points over SweeneyHawksHockey and gochiefs.

While the field crept a little closer, it appears Bronco Hockey Fan’s 19-point lead for the McNaughton Cup is insurmountable (unless for some reason picks don’t get entered this week). There were 105 penalties called over the weekend. gochiefs and Soulbeaver lead the bonus picking this week picking up 9 points each. The bonus had a big impact on some of the players as GIWAN moved into sole possession of a #1 playoff seed and mikeeddy19 appears to be locked into a playoff spot.

The 21st and final week of the WCHA Pick 'Em regular season was no less compelling than the previous 20 as Bronco Hockey Fan was not only the weekly winner with 33 points, but also the McNaughton Cup champion and come from behind Mason Cup champion! You have to go all the way back to last year to find a player who swept both regular season awards (SweeneyHawksHockey). Congratulations Bronco Hockey Fan! Sidebar: the previous two champions are fans of Nacho teams which is not a good look for the rest of us...

Looks like there's the possibility that some players may not get pick in for the playoffs. If you were outside the cut line, feel free to submit playoff picks ('spreader...) and I'll slot you in wherever I can.
