If you're scoreboard watching this evening here are the scenarios:

If BG wins: SweeneyHawksHockey, Bronco Hockey Fan, and TUPD advance.

If NMU wins: Wi.HuskiesFan, and Laker Dude advance.

If the home team total goals is 4 or 5, Hockey John advances otherwise mbenecke advances.

Bronco Hockey Fan also advances if NMU wins AND away goals =5 AND home goals =6. beaverhockey fan advances in all other scenarios where NMU wins.

I'm glad you caught that. I write my picks down before I enter them and thought I picked 5 away goals. Thanks for correcting it.

Semifinal matches are set. Three of the top regional seeds have advanced. TUPD will take on McNaughton and Mason Cup winner Bronco Hockey Fan while mbenecke will tackle SweeneyHawksHockey. Three of the four matches were determined by identical 7-4 scores.

After 8,219 games picked (I counted...) it comes down to this. The bonus was the deciding factor the first match which sees Bronco Hockey Fan in the championship round trying to become the first player to sweep the season awards. On the other side, Bleacher Creature mbenecke rode very timely homer picking to an upset and a seat at the final table. This is an all-star match-up! We've been at this for 23 weeks; the two of you should know how this works. I will post picks after both players complete their official submissions. Good luck!

The final match of the 2018-2019 WCHA Pick 'Em season is one for the history books. In the closest championship match ever, Bronco Hockey Fan ties his way to a victory over mbenecke and hoists the Jeff Sauer trophy for the first time. But don't let the fact that a tie decided the match taint the victory as Bronco Hockey Fan held the lead through most of the match which was decided solely by the Away/Home bonus picks. Anyway, congratulations Bronco Hockey Fan on sweeping all the hardware this season and thanks everyone for a great year. See you in the fall.
