The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Re: WCHA first round - Minnesota @ North Dakota 1/12/10
Sioux fan predicting a strong gopher showing tomorrow night. Too much talent and tradition to give up for the season.
This Gopher team just hasn't gelled this year. Is it coaching, attitude, or team chemistry? They always get more than their fair share of raw talent so I don't see it as a recruiting problem per se. They lack a lethal sniper / scorer. I think Kangas is just fine when supported by team defense and scoring (actually better than fine...he's really good).
The Sioux are a dangerous team. Better than their record. Whereas Denver has won every close game the Sioux got the all the bad bounces for most of the season. Really only one game (Gophers at Minnesota) where they really weren't in it to the end of a game.
Hoping for a better game (but with same outcome) tomorrow night.
