Baby steps. The same reason why the MN Vikings have a banner celebrating NFC Central/North titles; nothing else to celebrate.

+1 Badger fans are better than this. We sound like a bunch of bitter Gopher fans. SCSU beat us fair and square. No need to ridicule their post season success.

I think we're allergic to winning WCHA titles. We're more than happy to come in second, third or fourth place (because we seem to do it all the time). But actually winning the Broadmoor or the MacNaughton? We seem to not be bothered by it.

fun game, decent atmosphere. Wisconsin was robbed by lee. He was on fire(ala NBA JAM). Wisconsin did everything they needed to but score, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Can not wait till tomorrow! Lasch ties the scoring record, just needs one more point to break it!
According to the post game report, roe wasn't seriously injured, at least according to mosey and SCSU's trainer.. I hope to christ it was a concussion or something minor. He's definitely the heart of our offense.

Congrats to St. Cloud. They did a very good job today and deserved the win.

Thank god, I had a hard time enjoying that win knowing that Roe was in the hospital.

You hate to see that happen to anyone, I hope he's alright and it's good to hear he didn't seriously hurt himself. Gotta give him lots of credit for putting it all on the line out there and "taking one for the team."

UW played poorly offensively for 2 1/2 periods. No flow, no entering with a head of steam with numbers. They finally woke up after the bs goaltender interfence call on C Smith and really shelled Lee, who played awesome. I think if UW plays the whole game like they they pull out a low scoring game, considering St. CLoud was really mustering very little O themselves.

I'd like to expand on your reference to the Craig Smith interference call. Can somebody get the official rule on that? If a goalie comes that far out of the net and a player is skating hard to obtain the puck and runs into the goalie because it's hard to stop when skating at full speed is that really a freaking penalty? Lame call in my opinion that parallels to a personal foul for laying a pinky on Tom Brady in the NFL.

Wonderful! That really didn't look good. He looked like he was in a lot of pain. Hopefully he can play next weekend.

That was the only bad call I can point out off the top of my head. Did not agree with that at all. Did someone kidnap the WCHA refs?

It is my understanding the rule prohibits ANY contact to the goalie--no matter where he is on the ice. They both were going for the puck, and Smith ran into him. If that was a Huskie running into Wisco's goalie, I would be more upset that my guy didn't evade the goaltender. But I would expect a two minute penalty.
