WCHA 2015-16: So here's what we think that we know...

Re: WCHA 2015-16: So here's what we think that we know...

My personal policy until the after the Final Five last year was I would normally get a ticket and the press pass and wear my jersey in my seat during the game and take off the jersey, run to the press box during intermission and get the stat sheets/shot charts and go back to my seat...That worked great for me until the Final Five.

It's hard to be a fan AND a media member at the same time... darn near impossible, I might say. It's tough for me as a photographer because I want to watch the game, but I have a job to do, and ultimately it wins over me watching the game.

A decision you have to make, I guess!

Did they deny you access to the press box even though you had a credential at last year's final five?

No, I took my jersey off before going up to the press box and no one cared. The issue was I couldn't get one for the regional because of my actions at the Final Five.

Re: WCHA 2015-16: So here's what we think that we know...

What'd you do at the Final Five?

took my shirt off in celebration of MTU beating BGSU (like I've done many times in the past, as the screen name suggests). Got into an argument with Security about doing it the following night, real fun time.

That'll do it, especially if they know your name!

Watched the NMU/ Mankato game last night. Not a whole lot of fans that's for sure. Too bad, it was a good game.

Re: WCHA 2015-16: So here's what we think that we know...

Y'know, I turned 19 about six weeks into my first semester at UAH, so maybe I'm part of the problem here.

Screw you, B1G.

Re: WCHA 2015-16: So here's what we think that we know...

So in the discussion of the 21-yo frosh debate I have a couple question for WCHA fans, here are some issues I found when compiling rosters:

BGSU Drew Savage
BGSU Matt Ferrari
UAA Luke McColgan
UAA Zack Rassell
UAF Shawn Hochhausen
UAH Brandon Salerno
UAH James Block

Are these guys on the team? what class are they in? Positiong, DOB? etc? I could use some help on these guys.
Thanks

Hochhausen is no longer at UAF.

--Drew Savage is a Senior promoted from the club team. He has no NCAA eligibility, but has been serving as an 8th D-man in practice.
--Matt Ferrari came in as a 17-year-old...but withdrew from school after one exhibition game, signed with the Kitchener Rangers, left the Kitchener Rangers, and is now reportedly back with the Toronto Jr. Canadians. He has lost his NCAA eligibility.

Re: WCHA 2015-16: So here's what we think that we know...

without complete analysis of the players I mentioned in the previous post and complete knowledge of redshirt players here is what I have based on a cutoff date of 9/1 each year we had:

18 yo (12, 4.4%)
19 yo (46, 16.7%)
20 yo (113, 41.1%)
21 yo+ (104, 37.8%)

James Block (forward, 5/24/1996) is listed on the roster as a sophomore, but has yet to play an official game.

Brandon Salerno (forward, 7/31/1995) was sent back to Pickering (OJHL) last season. He's enrolled but won't play until next year.
